6 Apps that are Constantly Improving Our Lives Every Day

Mobile technology and mobile operating systems have been evolving at an alarming rate in the last decade. This has to lead to the development of a number of amazing apps that have completely changed the way we live our lives, interact with each other and entertain ourselves. The smartphone is truly an amazing invention that will be revolutionizing our daily life. It is also having a significant impact on our careers for years to come.

Of course, not all apps are created equal, and some are certainly more useful than others. But a handful of them has become so popular and so widespread that we can’t begin to imagine our lives without them anymore. The following are just some of them. And we’re sure that their number will keep increasing as long as smartphone technology improves further.

1. Google Maps

This is hands-down one of the most useful and most essential apps out there. Virtually every smartphone nowadays has a built-in GPS device. Certain software can use to pinpoint your exact location and tell you how to get somewhere else. All the while it is also informing you of any and all points of interest between the two points.

Now, let’s flashback to a decade ago or more. Imagine you’re in a foreign town or a part of your own city that you’re not that familiar with. You had to either carry around a huge map (which can be rather impractical). Or you’d stop once every few minutes to ask for directions. With Google Maps, all of that is history. All you have to do nowadays is open the app, wait a few seconds for it to locate you via GPS, and input the address of your destination. And Google Maps will provide you with the shortest route. If you need a restaurant, a restroom, a gas station or anything else, you have all of this information (and more) inside the app itself. Truly a revolutionary step in mobile technology. I can’t even imagine how it’s going to improve in the future.

2. Facebook

Facebook-like

Ah, social media. Some might call it a double-edged sword and claim that it’s making people less sociable and more egotistic. While that might be true to certain extent, you simply can’t deny how useful social media such as Facebook can be. The sole fact that you can look anyone up and view some of their personal information is fantastic, whether for business reasons or personal ones.

For example, you happen to find a lost ID card on the street. Instead of having to go through the process of looking up their address and phone number, you can just find them on Facebook and contact them directly with no effort at all. It’s simply an amazing way for people to connect and exchange thoughts and ideas. No matter how many of them they are, so no matter how you choose to look at it, overall social media is definitely a big plus.

3. Tinder

Tinder

Mobile apps have had a significant impact on the way people date as well. Before apps like Tinder, the “screening process” of finding the right person for a relationship was quite a bit troublesome for some people. In particular for people that are rather introverted. Now, all you have to do is build up an online profile and find other people that the software deems compatible to you. This is making that initial process much easier, and in a way, more sincere. It’s allowed us to get past our initial insecurities and go straight to dating and getting to know the other person since you already know that you have quite a bit in common and have the same goal in mind – to find someone perfect for you.

It’s become so popular nowadays that many people are even shopping for groceries online, drastically saving on the hassle of actually having to go to the store, fill up your own cart and wait in line.

But you can watch them at your own convenience, not limited to any predetermined schedule. And since it’s completely mobile friendly, you can take Netflix anywhere with you. Unless you’re in a foreign country where it’s blocked, in which case you need a VPN in order to change your IP address and access it normally.

Finally, for those of you who can’t imagine your lives without sticky notes and constant reminders. Evernote is the app for you. Much more than a simple sticky note app, it’s a full-on organizer into which you can input text, record your voice and even take photos of anything you need to remember.
