No J 3.1 version available ?
Yes, available. Check the download page: https://www.rswebsols.com/downloads/rs-coolmp3player
I just purchased your module. But I am having trouble figuring out how to do the following:
I am making a series of K2 articles, one each week. The article is some text and the mp3 sermon from that week. I am not seeing how to add your RSCool player to one specific article.
You just need to use the Joomla’s default plugin “Content – Load Module”. To know how to use this plugin please check the below Joomla documentation page:

Hello, the visualizer of your player worked well on localhost, but it just flashes on the live site http://www.solo-live.de (Menu “Musik”). I have set “Use exact URL” to Yes and insertet http://www.solo-live.de/ as the exact URL. “Insert SWFOBJECT File” is set to YES as well. Any ideas?
Alternatively, can the visualizer be switched off and a timer (remaining song time) be displayed?
Many thanks,
René
Your songs are hosted in the same server or in different server?
Nice and useful module, just what I need. Only thing that I havent managed to do with it is set a single song loop. Is it possible?
Unfortunately this option not available. We are very sorry.
Installing your software went smoothly and everything seemed to be flowing perfectly, but now the player is on my homepage, but nothing plays. I tried putting the youtube url, then I downloaded the mp3 file and tried using the location on my computer with no luck. I even tried using the location of the file on the internet after using video2mp3.com Any suggestions?
Just do not use any external mp3 link/url. Just try the following example:
1) Go to “/JoomlaRoot/images/” and create one folder “songs”.
2) Then go to “/JoomlaRoot/images/songs/” and upload your mp3 file. Say you uploaded mp3 file named song1.mp3 .
3) Then the mp3 song URL will be: http://www.yourwebsite.com/images/songs/song1.mp3 . Use this URL in the module parameter section of RSCoolMP3Player.
Hello
Issue in Joomla using RS Cool MP3 Player extension: The mp3 player worked great earlier today after install, but has now been replaced with
“in order to view this object you need Flash Player 9+ support!”
I use Firefox browser and updated from Flash player 10. to Flash player 11.something. Still same error message on my webpage
The mp3 file is in {team-bp.co.uk/images/mp3/fly-the-flag-30sec.mp3} which I believe to be public, certainly accessible by me. So why the error message?
Thanks
Please do the following:
1. Change the song name from {Fly the Flag sample: Full radio mix downloadable on “Commemorative” page} to {Fly the Flag sample: Full radio mix downloadable on ‘Commemorative’ page}.
2. Set “Use Exact URL” to “Yes”.
3. Set the Exact URL.
After doing this test your website and let us know.
Thanks Souvik. Works well

Hello Souvik,
I have just installed the RS cool mp3 player, on my site for which I am using Joomla 1.6. I just want to play a couple of loops as background music for the site. However, I keep getting this error message that I need Flash Player 9+ support. I followed your earlier instructions to someone else and FTPed into the files, located xml file under mod_rscoolmp3player and performed chmod 755 on it. I also deleted the xml file inside that folder. But, no luck. I have enclosed a link for you to see. Could you pls help…

Many thanks
Sagar
Hi Sagar,
The song URL is wrong. If you open this URL: http://www.ecovision-consulting.com/public_html/images/songs/ecovision.mp3 , it is returning “404 file not found” error. Please do the following:
1. As per our prediction the URL should be: http://www.ecovision-consulting.com/images/songs/ecovision.mp3
2. Please also change the permission of the “/images/songs” folder to “755” using FTP.
Thanks,
Souvik
Hi Souvik
thanks for your prompt reply. I’ve followed your instructions, but still no luck. Firstly, I can’t see the player and I’ve checked my browser for Adobe update, tells me that I already have the latest update in my google chrome browser, also tried IE and installed latest flash player, but the player cannot be seen. I have also changed the URL path as above, and ensured images/songs is set to 755. But it doesn’t work. Any help would be really great.
Many thanks
Sagar
Being new to Joomla, my problem was determining what the actual live link to the mp3 files was.
I found that using this method worked:
http://www.mysite.com/music/song.mp3
In the above, the Joomla Folder on my hosting server is removed, otherwise the link is the exact path to the directory the file is in, followed by the file name.
So even though the song is at root/mysitejoomla/music/song.mp3, the actual link is as shown above.
Probably a very simple Joomla concept, but it took a little research to learn it.
Thanks for the *cool* module man!
I am getting the error message: ‘the sound could not be loaded’The file is in the root of http://www.lowerteme.co.uk as well as in http://www.lowerteme.co.uk/images. It is a good mp3 file – produced by a BBC sound engineer, so I must have done something wrong in the module, just can’t see what?! http://www.lowerteme.co.uk/index.php/key-pages/the-church-in-the-lower-teme-valley/356-church-sermons
Please recheck the file is uploaded or not. Because if you open the following URL it is returning “404 – File not found” error:
http://www.lowerteme.co.uk/DavidSherwinHealingSermon2012April.mp3
http://www.lowerteme.co.uk/images/DavidSherwinHealingSermon2012April.mp3
Yes, of course Souvik – thanks for pointing out the obvious. My ftp was pointing at the old testing site and I just continued convinced that all was well. Uploaded now to the correct site and it works. Wonderful. Thank you – and for such a fast response.
Hi, thanks for the great module. It’s really simple and effective.
It will be perfect if the song position will be stored and continued while changing sites – like in JBGMusic compnent. Now after page change song is playing from the beginning. I am going to spend few $$$ if this functionality arrive :)
do you have a plugin version of this module? If so… that will work well for me… thank you.
unfortunately we do not have any plugin version. But if you wish to display it under any article then you can use the default Joomla plugin called “Content – Load Module”. Here is the documentation: http://docs.joomla.org/How_do_you_put_a_module_inside_an_article%3F
Hello, I like your mp3 player, but when the play button is pressed, the visualizer begins a strobe-like flashing while playing. It is kind of annoying and I noticed when I changed the wave color, the color of the flashing changes. Any way to fix it? I’m running Joomla 2.5.3
I’m sorry, I just fixed it, I had the full http address in the mp3 location, I dropped the site name and it is no longer flashing.
Hello,
This is a great module, and I am successfully using it in articles.
Unfortunatelly, when it is used in this article multiple times –
http://www.brand-box.eu/en/feel-it/7-packages-brand-box-basic.html
some of the module cannot find the sound to play.
They are all configured exactly the same way, and according to the documentation.
They were working properly.
Do you have any known incompatibilities with any other modules/components that might be causing this issue?
Looking forward to any advice!
Thank you in advance!
Best regards,
Dimitar V.
In addition, I want to add that you can see the difference by simply refreshing the page. This will cause some modules to show the “the source cannot be found” message, and others will be playing. Different modules give the error message after each different refresh.

Hi Souvik, i have question, how do i put my player in the article? Using modules brings me to setting module to position-7 (menue on left) or 4 (on right). I want it centralised. Anyhow?
To load a module in article you can use the Joomla default plugin “Content – Load Module”. To know more about it please read this Joomla documentation: http://docs.joomla.org/How_do_you_put_a_module_inside_an_article%3F
