World Marketing Forum 6.0: A Convergence of AI and Marketing at BRAC University

The World Marketing Forum 6.0, orchestrated by Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC and fueled by ACI Motors Limited, recently unfolded at BRAC University.

This significant gathering spanned two days, dedicated to deliberating on the prudent integration of artificial intelligence (AI) within the marketing sphere.

Organized by the World Marketing Council, the forum saw collaboration with the Bangladesh Brand Forum, alongside BRAC University and BRAC Business School.

Centered around the theme “Artificial Intelligence in Marketing: Human + Tech”, the event attracted marketing executives, scholars, policy figures, and industry professionals from various corners of the globe.

In a statement released to the media, Sajid Mahbub, the secretary general of the World Marketing Council and the Marketing Society of Bangladesh, as well as the group chief executive officer and executive editor of Bangladesh Brand Forum, extended a warm welcome.

“It is a privilege to welcome marketers, academics, and industry leaders from across the world to Dhaka,” he noted, emphasizing that while AI is revolutionizing how businesses comprehend and cater to customer needs, the fundamental essence of human values remains integral to marketing.

Mohammad Mujibul Haque, the dean of BRAC Business School at BRAC University, delivered thought-provoking opening remarks, underscoring the pivotal role of academia in equipping marketers for a future dominated by AI innovations.

The agenda of the forum included ten keynote sessions, two case studies, and two panel discussions.

Day one featured illustrious keynote speakers such as Philip Kotler, Hermawan Kartajaya, Tara Yoon, and Eric Ku, while day two welcomed Syed Ferhat Anwar, Dan Visitchaichan, Helen McIntee-Carlisle, AK Enamul Haque, Nafis Faysal, and Ralf Strauss to share their insights.

Discourse revolved around the ramifications of AI on marketing strategies, consumer behavior, productivity enhancements, regulatory frameworks, and the delicate interplay between technological advancements and human discernment.

Two focal panel discussions probed into the potential of AI to empower small and medium enterprises in their competition against larger corporations, and the collaborative avenues available for universities and industries to translate academic research into actionable solutions.

Notably, the forum culminated in the presentation of the Dhaka Declaration by the World Marketing Council, aptly titled “Marketing for Global Good: Y2030 & Beyond”.

This declaration, adopted in unison with the Asia Marketing Federation, African Marketing Confederation, and European Marketing Confederation, signifies a collective commitment encompassing 54 nations across Asia, Africa, and Europe.

The word MARKETING spelled out in large, light-colored letters on a textured black background.

The event was meticulously organized by Bangladesh Brand Forum, with substantial support from various corporate and institutional partners, including PRAN, BRAC University, and BRAC Business School.
