Internship Success: Chitransh Agarwal Enhances Performance Testing Framework
In a striking departure from convention, Chitransh Agarwal, hailing from Durg, Chhattisgarh, chose to forgo an IIT admission to chase his fervor for computer science.
This audacious move has been richly rewarded, as he has secured a remarkable annual compensation of ₹76 lakh from the renowned conglomerate, DocuSign, establishing a new standard for aspiring engineers across India.
During his distinguished internship at DocuSign, Chitransh undertook a formidable challenge involving the optimization of the ‘Insight Performance Testing Framework’. His collaborative efforts led to a significant enhancement, scaling the system’s capacity from 100,000 to an impressive 1 million production workloads.
The chief obstacle was ensuring seamless data processing for a million contracts without overwhelming the servers.
Chitransh reflected, “This undertaking illuminated the intricacies of scalability and performance refinement in real-world applications. It has been a pivotal experience in my professional journey.”
Strategic Preparations for Success in Tech
Chitransh’s preparatory approach was methodically segmented into three essential components:
- Data Structures & Algorithms (DSA): “I diligently solved problems on LeetCode each day, which significantly sharpened my logical reasoning and coding efficacy.”
- Core Fundamentals: “I consistently revisited fundamental subjects such as Operating Systems, Object-Oriented Programming, and Database Management Systems, recognizing their importance in technical interviews.”
- Practical Projects: “I prioritized hands-on experience, ensuring that every concept I absorbed was translated into practical applications through dedicated projects.”
To bolster his mental well-being and concentration, Chitransh integrated fitness and music into his daily regimen.
The Role of AI in Education: Transformative but Not a Replacement
On the subject of artificial intelligence’s impact on education, Chitransh notes its profound influence on both learning and professional environments.
“At DocuSign, I observed a growing reliance on AI-driven tools for tasks such as PR review, code quality assessments, and edge case identification. AI streamlines and accelerates these workflows,” he elaborated.
Nevertheless, he holds the conviction that “AI is incapable of supplanting teachers. The personal interaction and understanding fostered in a classroom are irreplaceable. That said, educators can leverage AI to augment the efficacy of learning.”
Inspirational Figures: Lessons from Virat Kohli
Chitransh draws motivational strength from Indian cricket icon Virat Kohli, stating, “I adopted his principle of practicing as if I’ve never triumphed and performing as if I’ve never faltered. This outlook has fortified my resilience amid rigorous interviews and examinations.”
Family Support: The Bedrock of Success
Chitransh attributes his achievements to the unwavering support of his family. His father, Sandeep Agarwal, an alumnus of NIT Raipur, works in ISO consulting in Bhilai, providing steadfast encouragement.
Simultaneously, his mother, Preeti Agarwal, instilled mental fortitude, while his sister, Sandali Agarwal, who is currently pursuing an MBBS at RIMS Raipur, serves as an ongoing source of inspiration.
“The support from my family serves as my backbone; they have stood by me at every juncture,” shared Chitransh.
Words of Wisdom for Aspiring Engineers
In offering sage advice to his juniors, Chitransh emphasized, “Maintain consistency and never yield to setbacks. Concentrate on DSA, foundational computer concepts, and practical projects. Additionally, engage in hackathons, as they foster genuine learning and bolster confidence.”
