On Thursday, following Apple’s grand unveiling of its latest iPhone lineup, a plethora of Vietnamese retailers initiated information registration portals, inviting consumers to express their interest.
At Di Dong Viet, the response was overwhelmingly positive, with over 2,000 individuals registering for updates about the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, and the innovative iPhone Duo within the first hour of the portal’s activation.
Among these registrations, the iPhone 18 Pro Max commanded a notable 60 percent share, while the iPhone Duo, heralded as Apple’s inaugural foldable device, attracted 30 percent. The iPhone 18 Pro, in contrast, represented a modest 10 percent of total registrations.
The new burgundy variant has piqued substantial interest, suggesting that the allure of this iPhone generation transcends mere technological advancements, extending into its captivating color choices.
“The enthusiasm from Vietnamese consumers towards this year’s offerings is quite significant,” remarked a representative from Di Dong Viet.
Similarly, Minh Tuan Mobile reported a marked increase in consumer interest and registrations for the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, compared to the same period last year.
Currently, the pre-order demand for the 256GB iPhone 18 Pro Max is at the forefront, with consumers showing a strong preference for the burgundy variant.
Observers and technology aficionados have identified the burgundy hue and the iPhone Duo as standout features from Apple’s launch presentation.
Although the introduction of the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max was largely anticipated, following a slew of reliable leaks, consumer interest, particularly in the distinctive burgundy finish, remains fervent.
Many anticipate that this particular color will become a predominant choice among Vietnamese Apple consumers.
A tech aficionado noted that the iPhone Duo impresses with its customizable nano-texture display, an advanced glass treatment meticulously etched at the nanometer level, designed to scatter light effectively while retaining sharpness and color fidelity.
Additionally, the device showcases a more robust construction, coupled with an aesthetically pleasing fold design.
Apple seems to have meticulously considered every aspect of its inaugural foldable smartphone, from interface optimization to the comprehensive ecosystem of supporting applications.
However, pricing poses a considerable challenge. The iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max are priced at $100 more than their predecessors, while the iPhone Duo commands a staggering $1,999.
Such financial implications may lead some consumers to deliberate their decision to upgrade to the freshest models.
Yet, consistent with historical trends, a considerable segment of Vietnamese Apple aficionados appears ready to invest in the latest offerings.
“The iPhone 18 Pro Max shall remain the preferred selection, and it is highly likely the burgundy variant will sell out swiftly,” stated the tech enthusiast.
“Despite the lofty price of the iPhone Duo, a significant number of consumers will still be eager to experience it.
“Traditionally, individuals purchasing Apple’s iPhones prioritize the experience over the price tag.”
According to Apple, the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max are presented in four sophisticated finishes: black, silver, glacier, and the newly introduced burgundy.
Pre-orders commenced on Saturday, with devices slated for availability starting Friday, September 18.
