Nvidia’s DLSS 5 DLL Experiments Gain Momentum Among Modders
The clandestine dissemination of Nvidia’s DLSS 5 Dynamic Link Library (DLL) has captivated the attention of PC modding enthusiasts.
Renowned modder RenoDX, alongside others, has begun integrating this nascent neural rendering technology into an expanding array of video games.
The recent modifications may render this scenario even more compelling: DLSS 5 has been successfully adapted to operate on the RTX 4090 graphics card.
In a notable achievement, modder Uncle Burrito has altered the leaked DLSS 5 DLL, initially unearthed within the early-access iteration of NBA 2K27, to function seamlessly with RTX 40-series graphics hardware.
The original DLL included CUDA binaries that appeared to be explicitly designed for the Blackwell-based RTX 50-series GPUs.
However, the modder ingeniously patched these binaries, enabling compatibility with the preceding Ada Lovelace architecture.
