Technology behemoth NVIDIA is amplifying its commitment to the realms of artificial intelligence (AI) and data center expansion.

On August 21, Cloverleaf Infrastructure, a firm dedicated to facilitating the necessary power sources and infrastructure for site development, announced the inception of a strategic partnership with NVIDIA aimed at enhancing digital infrastructure throughout the United States.

In accordance with this strategic arrangement, NVIDIA is reportedly acquiring a minority equity stake in Cloverleaf, a company established in 2024 that successfully raised $300 million in its inaugural year.

Often regarded as an intermediary between utility providers and data centers, Cloverleaf plays a crucial role in ensuring a stable electricity supply for AI-powered facilities.

NVIDIA has progressively assumed a more significant role in financing and developing data centers that procure its AI technologies.

Earlier this month, the company declared a substantial investment of $1.5 billion into SB Energy, aimed at bolstering the PORTS-Pike campus—an OpenAI-affiliated 10-GW data center initiative in Pike County, Ohio.

Jensen Huang, NVIDIA’s founder and CEO, articulated the importance of this investment: AI is evolving into a foundational infrastructure—the bedrock of intelligence across every sector.

In this AI era, land, power, and structural frameworks have become indispensable. It is imperative to enhance the AI infrastructure that will spearhead the forthcoming industrial renaissance.

We are securing enduring infrastructure for NVIDIA compute, thereby enabling OpenAI to deploy hyper-efficient AI facilities that can be upgraded over time, each advancement yielding enhanced intelligence and superior economic viability.

NVIDIA is set to take a prominent role at the forthcoming Experience POWER conference, organized by POWER and slated for September 28–30, 2026, at the Omni Shoreham, Washington, D.C.

John Josephakis, NVIDIA’s Global Vice President of HPC, AI & Supercomputing, is among the keynote speakers, addressing the integration of AI within federal energy initiatives.

Furthermore, the Data Center POWER eXchange event will also occur at the same venue on September 30 and October 1.

‘Facilitating AI Factory Development’

In a recent press release, Cloverleaf emphasized that the investment from NVIDIA will empower the firm “to assist its clientele and utility partners in meeting the surging demand for accelerated computing.”

The collaboration is designed to foster the foundational infrastructure requisite for the growth of AI factory development. Already, Cloverleaf boasts an expansive pipeline for AI development and has successfully delivered multiple GW-scale projects to clients across North America.

Four days. Two conferences. A single venue in Washington, D.C., where energy policy, grid decisions, and digital infrastructure intersect.

“AI is driving an unprecedented surge in demand for digital infrastructure, engendering significant economic development opportunities for American locales,” stated David Berry, co-founder and CEO of Cloverleaf.

“This partnership enhances Cloverleaf’s capacity to pinpoint and cultivate high-quality sites that furnish the computational power crucial for our nation’s growth and security. Collectively, we aim to provide a vital advantage to American enterprises and their workforce.”

Cloverleaf affirmed its intention to implement the NVIDIA DSX Platform to integrate considerations for site, power, cooling, computing, and facility design earlier in the developmental stage.

This approach will enable clients to “assess infrastructure trade-offs and construct AI factories that yield more effective AI outputs within the confines of existing power, water, and grid limitations.”

The organization further asserted that “NVIDIA’s DSX infrastructure and software will assist clients in optimizing energy utilization and computational capability” across operating data center facilities.

J.P. Morgan Securities LLC acted as the exclusive financial advisor while Kirkland & Ellis LLP provided legal counsel to Cloverleaf for the structuring of this agreement.

While the specific financial terms of the partnership remain undisclosed, the Wall Street Journal has reported that NVIDIA’s investment could reach several hundred million dollars.
