The Seattle gathering, titled “IDEAS4INDIA: Indian American Tech CEOs Forum | Unlocking the Tech Dividend,” was convened by the Consulate General of India in Seattle as a continuation of the India AI Impact Summit 2026.

Attendees included influential figures from major corporations such as Microsoft, Amazon, Boeing, OpenAI, Anthropic, Intel, and Veeam Software.

The participants collectively boasted decades of expertise in fields ranging from AI and cloud computing to semiconductors, quantum technology, and aerospace.

Discussions probed potential collaboration opportunities concerning data centers, AI infrastructure, chip design and fabrication, quantum research, talent cultivation, and advanced manufacturing.

The meeting occurred against the backdrop of numerous significant corporate initiatives in India. Amazon has declared its intention to invest $48 billion in the country from 2026 to 2030, which includes the expansion of AWS data center capabilities in Mumbai and Hyderabad. Concurrently, Costco is setting up its inaugural Global Capability Center in Hyderabad.

Several firms represented at the Seattle forum already maintain engineering, research, or commercial operations in India, establishing a robust foundation for further collaborative efforts.

The event commenced with a moment of silence honoring two distinguished Indian-origin technology pioneers linked to Seattle who recently passed away: Samir Bodas, co-founder and CEO of Icertis, and S. Somasegar, managing director at Madrona Venture Group and former corporate vice president at Microsoft.

Participants reflected on their significant contributions to Seattle’s technology landscape and their unwavering support for Indian-origin entrepreneurs.

Ajay Bhatt, a former technologist at Intel and recipient of the Padma Shri award, also contributed to the discussions.

Organizers indicated that this Seattle assembly has the potential to serve as an ongoing conduit for technological collaboration between the two countries.
