Rather than a singular reference to “the battery in this iPhone,” the new messages state, “The batteries in this iPhone are performing as expected,” along with alerts that indicate “one of the batteries” may require servicing or may not be recognized as an authentic Apple component.

A dual-battery architecture is anticipated for Apple’s inaugural foldable model.
