When BorgWarner inaugurated its Bengaluru technology center in 2020–21, the intent was not solely to cater to the Indian market but to serve as a global center of excellence for EV technologies. The team collaborates with OEMs across the US and beyond.
As India’s electric vehicle sector surges, this workforce is notably ahead of the curve, poised to support local OEMs. The strategies implemented are yielding positive outcomes, positioning the Indian market for further evolution.

The ascendancy of closed markets has raised legitimate concerns and has intensified over the past eighteen months. However, the duration of this trend remains uncertain. Industries inherently drive economic growth, prompting governmental responses to industrial exigencies.
Countries with aging populations, particularly in the West, will struggle to maintain innovation leadership without a robust supply of skilled talent, which is becoming increasingly scarce.
We are beginning to notice a shift in perspective. High-skill roles involving trade secrets and patents cannot remain confined by closed borders indefinitely.
