Preparations for Caviar’s Custom iPhone Models Ahead of Apple’s Launch
While Apple remains reticent about the forthcoming iPhone releases, luxury manufacturer Caviar has begun taking pre-orders for its opulently customized versions of the anticipated iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, and the much-speculated foldable iPhone.
Caviar has unveiled its Royal Colors collection tailored for the iPhone 18 Pro series, featuring elaborate designs with titles like Emperor, King, Black Prince, and Pharaoh.
Each model, distinguished by lavish materials such as crocodile or python leather, titanium, and two layers of 24K gold plating, is strictly limited to just 18 units, emphasizing exclusivity.
Current pricing initiates at approximately $10,060 (around Dh36,945) for the Black Prince and Pharaoh models, while the Consul variant escalates to about $10,840 (nearly Dh39,810).
The cost surges significantly for what Caviar has designated as the iPhone Ultra—its nomenclature for Apple’s rumored inaugural foldable iPhone.
Choices here encompass striking materials such as Titanium, Dark Cherry, Karat, Magenta, Silver, Gold, and an exclusive Jobs edition. Prices fluctuate from $13,840 (around Dh50,827) to $15,990 (approximately Dh58,723).
Caviar asserts it has procured high-fidelity physical mock-ups of both anticipated models and is actively modifying its materials and ornamental panels accordingly.
However, caution is advised, as some specifications listed on their website merit scrutiny due to their basis in speculation.
The Ultra webpage purports features like a 7.8-inch internal display, a 5.3-inch external screen, titanium construction, dual 48MP rear cameras, and a robust 5,800mAh battery.
It also claims the integration of an A20 Pro processor, developed via a 3nm fabrication process, which contradicts other reports suggesting Apple’s A20 generation will employ TSMC’s emerging 2nm technology.
More credible sources corroborate several overarching speculations, including the iPhone 18 Pro series and foldable iPhone’s anticipated launch in September, the presence of a smaller Dynamic Island, variable-aperture camera technology, and the advanced 2nm A20 chipset.
Caviar even posits that Apple will introduce the iPhone 18 Pro on September 9. Yet, as of August 9, Apple has not confirmed a September event; its official Events page continues to display prior presentations instead of unveiling a keynote for the 2026 iPhone.
Thus, while the luxurious materials, extravagant pricing, and five-figure sums are undoubtedly tangible, the underlying Apple hardware remains unverified, at least in an official capacity.
