Bengaluru-based student community platform Campus Binge is set to make its foray into India’s education technology domain with an innovative AI-powered Career Intelligence platform.
This initiative is primarily aimed at assisting students in confidently navigating the challenging transition from school to college.
The venture has garnered support from AIC at the Indian School of Business via the MeitY Startup Hub, focusing on simplifying career and collegiate decision-making for students.
This initiative emerges after founder Rishitabh Thapliyal’s departure from Puzzles Living, a student housing brand he successfully expanded to encompass 14 properties, over 1,000 beds, and approximately US$2 million in annual recurring revenue.
With extensive experience within India’s student landscape, Rishitabh has now redirected his efforts towards addressing a more pressing issue: the insufficient availability of accessible, organized, and personalized guidance for students faced with pivotal academic and career choices.
Although information regarding courses, colleges, and career opportunities is abundantly available, the ability to convert this data into personalized decisions typically relies on informal networks, disparate sources, or access to professional counseling.
Campus Binge is in the process of crafting an AI-led guidance system that consolidates these vital decision-making elements, assisting students in exploring diverse career pathways, assessing academic options, and making educated choices as they transition from school to college.
Commenting on the initiative, Rishitabh Thapliyal, Founder of Campus Binge, remarked, “India’s education sector is characterized by profound information asymmetry.
While students face a plethora of choices, the mechanisms for effective decision-making have lagged behind.
We are establishing a framework that delivers structured, personalized career intelligence to students at scale—guidance traditionally reserved for individuals within privileged networks.”
He further elucidated, “Our guiding inquiry is: why does access to quality career guidance remain so inequitable for most Indian students? Campus Binge was conceived as a solution to this conundrum.”
The company continues to receive backing from AIC at the Indian School of Business (ISB) through its Entrepreneur-in-Residence (EIR) program and is also supported by the MeitY Startup Hub, along with initiatives from Startup Uttarakhand and Startup Punjab.
Campus Binge envisions Career Intelligence as transcending mere informational or counseling facets.
Its goal is to enable students to comprehend the interplay between their interests, academic pursuits, and potential career trajectories while offering a structured methodology to compare and critically assess options prior to making consequential decisions.
From Student Housing to Career Intelligence
Rishitabh’s engagement with the student ecosystem commenced in 2020 when he initiated the creation of digital student communities amid the pandemic while still grappling with his studies.
These communities provided vital spaces for students to connect, share insights, and navigate the prevailing uncertainties.
Gradually, this exploration unveiled a persistent challenge for students relocating to unfamiliar cities: securing dependable accommodation and accessing structured support.
Upon his graduation in 2022, Rishitabh launched Puzzles Living, a student housing brand developed through collaborations with local paying guest (PG) providers in Bengaluru, wherein he managed their sales, branding, and student community experience.
This asset-light approach unified multiple local PGs under a singular brand, propelling the business to 14 properties, exceeding 1,000 beds, and generating approximately US$2 million in annual recurring revenue.
During this period, Rishitabh also achieved recognition as the youngest member of the Rental Housing Association of India.
Following the brand’s successful expansion, Rishitabh divested Puzzles Living to its operational partners and opted to explore a broader challenge he had consistently observed through his interactions with students: the complexities surrounding informed decision-making in education and career paths.
This transition from housing solutions to Career Intelligence signifies a profound shift from addressing students’ immediate residential requirements towards confronting the information and decision-making voids that profoundly impact their long-term trajectories.
Through the ISB ecosystem, Campus Binge has further honed its mission, benefiting from the AIC ISB’s GENESIS EIR initiative and recruiting early team members from the ISB network.

As artificial intelligence progresses beyond the confines of information retrieval to offer personalized decision support, Campus Binge is strategically positioning Career Intelligence as a burgeoning tier in education technology, devised not merely to furnish information, but to facilitate a deeper understanding of options and actionable insights.
Campus Binge serves as an AI-powered Career Intelligence platform aimed at assisting students in navigating their transition from school to college through personalized, data-driven guidance.
Bolstered by AIC at the Indian School of Business through the MeitY Startup Hub and supported by Startup Uttarakhand and Startup Punjab, the firm aspires to democratize structured career guidance for students throughout India.
