Apple Reports Record Revenue for September Quarter
Apple Inc. has unveiled a remarkable revenue achievement of $114.5 billion for the quarter ending in September, illustrating a substantial 12% growth compared to the same period last year.
The company’s gross margin soared to 47.9%, while earnings per share (EPS) ascended by 14% to reach $2.10.
This outstanding performance was partially amplified by a series of tariff refunds, which augmented EPS by $0.05 and contributed an additional percentage point to Apple’s gross margin.
In fiscal year 2026, Apple achieved its highest annual revenue to date, totaling $479 billion. Furthermore, the technology titan reported double-digit growth in EPS, marking an unprecedented financial year.
iPhone Continues to Dominate Revenue Streams
The iPhone remains the cornerstone of Apple’s profitability. During the September quarter, smartphone sales generated an impressive $57.6 billion, overshadowing the $49 billion amassed during the corresponding quarter last year.
For the fiscal year 2026, annual iPhone revenue reached $254.1 billion, reflecting a significant increase from the previous year’s $209.6 billion.
In addition, Apple’s Services segment showcased remarkable growth, achieving a record quarterly revenue of $31.6 billion, up from $28.8 billion in the prior year. Total services revenue over the year soared to $123.3 billion, up from $109.2 billion.
Macs Surpass Wearables as Third-Largest Revenue Stream
Sales of Macs surged to $10.8 billion during the September quarter, compared to $8.7 billion the same time last year.
As a result, Macs have eclipsed the Wearables, Home, and Accessories division, which reported $8.3 billion, a decline from $9 billion the previous year.
Moreover, Macs led in full-year revenue, while iPad sales fell to $6.2 billion from $6.9 billion in the preceding September quarter.
Apple introduced numerous new products recently, including revamped MacBook models and its inaugural touch-enabled MacBook.
The hardware lineup was further enhanced with the release of an OLED iPad mini, alongside an expanded smart home collection featuring a new smart display, security cameras, thermostats, smart locks, and smart speakers.
Additionally, a new, costlier Apple TV streaming device was launched. However, the highly anticipated iPhone Duo dominated the new product lineup, with shipments commencing in late October.
These new launches are poised to potentially impact Apple’s financial trajectory in the forthcoming reporting period, particularly as the holiday quarter approaches, which will provide a definitive view of their performance.
Americas Remains Apple’s Largest Market
The Americas continue to be the preeminent market for Apple, generating a noteworthy $48.7 billion in net sales during the September quarter. Europe followed suit, contributing $32 billion, while Greater China ranked third with $17.5 billion in sales.
Apple CEO John Ternus expressed pride in delivering Apple’s most robust fiscal year to date, emphasizing the record-breaking quarterly sales of the iPhone and the sustained expansion of services.
He characterized the iPhone Duo as the company’s most transformative iPhone release since its inception and highlighted the innovations introduced with the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max.

Moreover, the inclusion of touch functionality in Macs marks a significant milestone for the company. According to Ternus, the newest hardware lineup and enhanced Siri AI technology are expected to bolster Apple’s business throughout the holiday season.
