OnePlus is poised to introduce a sleeker, more lightweight smartwatch, but the narrative extends beyond mere aesthetics or construction. A suite of recently unveiled features promises to enhance compatibility in unprecedented ways for OnePlus wearables.
As the year draws to a close, OnePlus has been actively teasing an array of new gadgets set for unveiling. Among them is the OnePlus Watch Lite, a budget-friendly and more diminutive iteration of the OnePlus Watch 3. However, beyond its compact dimensions, the smartwatch is set to deliver some remarkable surprises.
A fresh wave of promotional materials has revealed significant features of OnePlus’ forthcoming smartwatch. Enhanced images provide a clearer perspective of the device, while the confirmed specifications regarding battery longevity and compatibility are particularly noteworthy.
Extended Battery Life and iPhone Integration
The smartwatch boasts an impressive 10-day battery life under typical usage conditions. This nearly doubles the endurance of the larger OnePlus Watch 3 and significantly exceeds that of the smaller model in the lineup.
Even more intriguing is a label indicating that the watch is designed to “work seamlessly with both Android and iOS devices.” An additional teaser adds, “Receive notifications from two phones on one watch,” implying simultaneous connectivity with both an Android device and an iPhone
The OnePlus Watch Lite is confirmed to facilitate compatibility with both Android and iPhone.
To date, no OnePlus smartwatch has offered this dual compatibility feature. This raises the tantalizing prospect that the Watch Lite may operate on a proprietary OnePlus operating system instead of Wear OS, the platform currently used by existing OnePlus watches.
Since its initial announcement, there has been no reference to Wear OS or a Snapdragon processor—components typically expected to coincide. This suggests that OnePlus might eschew Qualcomm’s wearable chip in favor of an alternative solution if they are indeed pursuing a custom operating system.
Streamlined and Lightweight Design
The OnePlus Watch Lite is equipped with a 1.43‑inch round AMOLED display, boasting a remarkable peak brightness of 3,000 nits.
In terms of fitness tracking, it provides essential features, including a 60-second wellness summary, heart rate assessment, blood oxygen saturation measurement, sleep monitoring, and dual-frequency GPS for enhanced locational accuracy.
Constructed from stainless steel, the Watch Lite measures a mere 8.9 mm in thickness and weighs 35 grams, making it considerably thinner and lighter than its heftier, pricier variant.
To attain this slender profile and reduced cost, OnePlus appears to have eliminated more advanced tracking functionalities, such as ECG.
Launch Date and Pricing of OnePlus Watch Lite

OnePlus is set to launch the Watch Lite alongside the OnePlus 15R and OnePlus Pad Go 2 on December 17. The smartwatch will be offered in Silver and Black colorways. While pricing details remain undisclosed, it is anticipated to be lower than that of the Watch 3.
Would you sacrifice Wear OS for enhanced iPhone compatibility and a longer battery lifespan? Or are you considering an upgrade to the OnePlus Watch Lite upon its release? We welcome your opinions.
