The West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (WBSEDCL) has announced an open call for applications regarding Junior Engineer and Assistant Manager positions.

Eligibility Criteria
Assistant Manager (HR&A): Must possess a degree in any field along with an MBA (two-year full-time program), MPM, or MHRM, emphasising Personnel Management or Human Resources.
Alternatively, a postgraduate degree or diploma in Personnel Management or HR, duly recognised by UGC, or a qualified institution approved by AICTE/IIMs/IITs/XLRI/IITB Schools, is acceptable.
Assistant Manager (F&A): Candidates should possess a degree in any discipline and must have completed the final examination from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India or the Institute of Cost Accountants of India.
An MBA (two-year full-time) with a focus on Finance & Accounts from a UGC-recognised university or an equivalent institution is also suitable.
Junior Engineer (Electrical) Grade-II: Applicants must hold a full-time three-year diploma in Electrical Engineering from an institute or college recognised by the West Bengal State Council of Technical Education.
Age Limit
Candidates must be aged between 18 and 32 years as of January 1, 2025.
Selection Process
The selection will occur in two stages, comprising a Computer-Based Test (CBT) followed by a Personal Interview, culminating in a Pre-Employment Medical Examination according to the company’s prescribed regulations.
The examination will last for 90 minutes, with a total of 100 marks allocated; 85 marks will be awarded for the MCQ-based objective test, and 15 marks for the Viva Voce/Personal Interview.
Application Fee
The application fee amounts to ₹400 for candidates in the UR/OBC-A/OBC-B/EWS categories applying for Assistant Manager positions, while the fee is ₹300 for Junior Engineer applicants. Candidates belonging to the SC/ST/PwBD categories are exempt from application fees.
Payments can be made through Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, and other methods provided via the Payment Gateway Service; as alternative forms, including Postal Orders, Pay Orders, and Demand Drafts, will not be accepted.
