Oracle Life Sciences Collaborates with Wipro to Advance Cloud-based Pharmacovigilance

Oracle Life Sciences has forged a strategic alliance with Wipro Ltd. aimed at enhancing cloud-centric pharmacovigilance services for life sciences enterprises worldwide, as outlined in an official company communiqué.

This collaboration will leverage Oracle Life Sciences Argus Business Process Services (BPS) to refine drug safety operations, optimize workflows, and reinforce regulatory compliance throughout the continuum of drug safety management.

Oracle Argus serves as a sophisticated pharmacovigilance platform, engineered to assist organizations in managing drug safety data, automating processes, and facilitating regulatory reporting. Its BPS segment amplifies these functionalities through a cloud-based managed services architecture.

The partnership aims to enable life sciences entities to scale pharmacovigilance operations efficiently, eliminating the necessity for maintaining on-site safety systems.

Wipro’s pharmacovigilance offerings encompass case processing, regulatory reporting and submissions, Qualified Person for Pharmacovigilance (QPPV) support, as well as post-marketing surveillance activities.

As part of this collaboration, Wipro intends to sustain preconfigured Oracle Argus BPS environments, primed for deployment prior to the onboarding of customers.

The parties involved assert that this methodology could curtail implementation timelines and accelerate the deployment of pharmacovigilance operations.

“By integrating Oracle Life Sciences Argus BPS into our Wipro Intelligence suite of AI-driven solutions, we can enhance our pharmacovigilance service offerings to provide clients with scalable and readily deployable safety services,” stated Jasjit Singh Kang, managing partner and global head of Business Process Services at Wipro.

Seema Verma, executive vice president and general manager at Oracle Health and Life Sciences, highlighted that the synergy effectively combines Oracle’s safety platform with Wipro’s domain expertise, thereby fostering a more deployment-ready paradigm for pharmacovigilance.
