Samsung India has unveiled the Top 40 semi-finalist teams for its renowned initiative, Samsung Solve for Tomorrow.
This flagship youth innovation programme empowers young minds to address prevailing challenges, transforming their creative ideas into actionable solutions through mentorship, advanced technology, prototyping, and experiential learning.
In its fifth iteration in India, Samsung Solve for Tomorrow invites participation from individuals aged 14 to 22, aiming to cultivate an ethos of problem-solving and innovation in the nation’s youth.
The selected Top 40 teams hail from 15 states and encompass 26 cities, with a notable representation of over 50% from Tier 2 and Tier 3 regions.
Young visionaries from cities such as Varanasi, Coimbatore, Guntur, Amritsar, Sundargarh, and Rajkot have reached the national semi-finals, competing alongside counterparts from prominent technology and educational centers.
This shortlist consists of ten teams across four distinct themes of the 2026 edition: AI Living for India, Health and Education, Environmental Sustainability, and Sport & Tech.
“This year’s Top 40 showcases the keen awareness with which our youth examine their surroundings. They are recognizing issues within their communities, classrooms, agricultural fields, businesses, and recreational venues, while pondering how technology can foster positive change.
It’s particularly heartening to note that over half of these teams originate from Tier 2 and Tier 3 territories, indicating that tomorrow’s innovation can sprout from anywhere.
Our objective through Samsung Solve for Tomorrow is to equip these aspirants with mentorship, cutting-edge technology, and opportunities to transform their ambitions into tangible impacts.

The semi-finalists are conceptualizing a range of solutions, from AI applications that enhance accessibility to vital information, to innovative approaches addressing agricultural waste, assistive devices for individuals with disabilities, and affordable healthcare and educational resources. Furthermore, initiatives are underway to promote inclusivity in sports through tailored technologies.
Highlighted among the Top 40 is AIRMED from Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, which is investigating AI’s potential to elevate India as a premier healthcare destination by linking overseas patients with Indian medical facilities.
Code Blooded, representing Sundargarh, Odisha, employs specialized AI to identify athletic potential among para-athletes residing in less urban areas.
AcoustiNode Systems, based in Thrissur, Kerala, focuses on enhancing dam management via improved hydrological intelligence, aimed at optimizing reservoir releases and refining flood, irrigation, and power management decisions.
QuantHunt from Raebareli, Uttar Pradesh, is tackling the evolving cybersecurity landscape, where today’s encrypted data risks becoming vulnerable as computational power progresses.
Moreover, other teams are innovating technologies that enable visually impaired swimmers to train independently, devising AI companions to bolster educational access for visually impaired pupils, creating interactive learning platforms from existing classroom projectors, and developing technologies for converting biomass into clean energy and valuable carbon resources.
Transitioning from a compelling idea to a feasible solution can often pose significant challenges within the innovation journey. What is uplifting about this cohort is that 25 of the Top 40 teams have already embarked on prototyping.
The forthcoming phase will encourage them to evaluate their hypotheses, derive insights from users, fortify their technology, and delve deeply into how their solutions can operate at scale.
This iterative learning process is crucial in nurturing robust innovators, remarked Dr. Nikhil Agrawal, Managing Director, Foundation for Innovation and Technology Transfer (FITT), IIT Delhi.
From Ideas to Prototypes
The Top 40 teams are poised to enter a rigorous phase of Samsung Solve for Tomorrow aimed at refining their concepts and prototypes.
An upcoming Innovation Bootcamp, commencing in September, will provide participants with insights into Samsung’s extensive innovation ecosystem.
This encompasses visits to research and development centers located in Bengaluru, Delhi, and Noida, along with its Southwest Asia headquarters.
Participants will undergo exhaustive training and mentorship sessions with FITT, IIT Delhi, receiving expert guidance in prototyping, problem-solving, and realistic development of their concepts.
Alumni from prior editions of Samsung Solve for Tomorrow will also contribute to the mentoring experience, offering unique insights drawn from their journeys.
The semi-final process will culminate in a National Pitch Event, where teams will present their innovative solutions to a jury from Samsung. Subsequently, twenty finalist teams will progress to the final stage of the competition.
Awards and Support
The Top 40 teams will collectively receive ₹8 lakh for prototype development, and each team member will be awarded a Samsung laptop.
The Top 20 teams will be granted a cumulative ₹20 lakh for further prototype enhancement, accompanied by the latest Samsung Galaxy Z Flip smartphone for each participant.
Upon conclusion of Samsung Solve for Tomorrow 2026, the top four teams will benefit from a cumulative grant of ₹2 crore from Samsung, supporting their incubation at IIT Delhi to advance and scale their solutions.
Special awards will also be conferred at the Grand Finale, including a ₹50,000 Digital Impact Award and two ₹1 lakh Community Choice Awards.
Five Years of Promotion of Innovation Across India
Launched in India in 2022, Samsung Solve for Tomorrow aims to empower youth to identify relevant issues and develop innovative solutions through mentorship, technology, and hands-on education.
The initiative has led to the establishment of several youth-driven startups since its inception. Over the last four years, Samsung has invested in fostering youthful innovation, directing ₹2 crore in incubation grants at IIT Delhi and over ₹3 crore in cash rewards and technology products, thereby equipping emerging innovators with essential resources to realize their ideas.
As the programme reaches its fifth edition, its influence has transcended the largest urban landscapes.
In anticipation of this year’s Top 100 selection, Samsung conducted 184 Design Thinking Workshops across 135 cities, directly engaging young individuals nationwide.
