Samsung Innovation Campus has now commenced its fourth year in India, unveiling an ambitious target aimed at imparting artificial intelligence (AI) skills to aspiring young adults aged 18 to 25 by 2026.
This initiative promises not only theoretical knowledge but also hands-on training, project-based learning, mentorship, and a glimpse into real-world applications.
In collaboration with the Electronics Sector Skills Council of India and the Telecom Sector Skill Council, Samsung India strives to deliver pragmatic AI education across 10 states.
JB Park, President and CEO of Samsung South West Asia, underscored the pivotal role of accessible skills development in propelling India’s aspirations in AI.
The success of India’s artificial intelligence ambitions hinges upon the rapid acquisition of requisite skills by the younger generation, alongside technological advancements and infrastructural growth.
In an effort to bridge this skills gap, Samsung Innovation Campus targets training 20,000 individuals in artificial intelligence by 2026.
This program is designed to be executed in cooperation with the Electronics Sector Skills Council of India and the Telecom Sector Skill Council.
The educational focus will ensure that young Indians gain industry-relevant AI training, effectively preparing them for flourishing careers in a fast-evolving technological sector.
Now in its fourth iteration, Samsung Innovation Campus invites participation from youth aged between 18 and 25.
Selected candidates will benefit from rigorous AI training complemented by project-based learning, mentorship, and exposure to real-world scenarios.
The curriculum extends beyond mere technical knowledge; it includes critical problem-solving, analytical thinking, and collaborative abilities.
Participants are expected to devise practical AI solutions while honing skills essential for their future careers.
This substantial push for AI education is crucial as artificial intelligence proliferates across sectors such as healthcare, manufacturing, and education, making the development of skilled professionals imperative for organizations aiming to integrate AI technologies.
JB Park stated, AI embodies one of the greatest potentialities of our time, and India is strategically positioned to spearhead this transformation, leveraging its youthful talent.
To actualize this potential, ongoing investment in skill development, fostering innovation, and enhancing the accessibility of AI education for every aspiring learner, irrespective of their background, will be essential.
He emphasized that Samsung Innovation Campus is designed to equip young Indians with the knowledge and practical expertise necessary to thrive in the technology sector.
The 2026 program evolves from the existing groundwork established by Samsung Innovation Campus in India. Initiated in 2022, the program has successfully trained over 26,500 young individuals in emerging technologies.
Impressively, women accounted for nearly half (48 percent) of the participants in 2025, reflecting a significant representation of female learners.
The new objective to nurture 20,000 AI learners underscores a heightened focus on AI skill development, a critical necessity as career dynamics shift with the broader adoption of innovative technologies.
Samsung Innovation Campus is part of a broader commitment to skills training and innovation in India.
The company also operates initiatives like Solve for Tomorrow, aimed at nurturing young innovators and entrepreneurs, while Samsung DOST prepares candidates for roles in sales and technical services.
This latest installment of the program coincides with Samsung’s 30-year mark in India. For the anticipated 20,000 participants this year, the immediate benefit will lie in gaining access to hands-on AI education, mentorship, and practical experience, effectively bridging the gap between rapidly advancing technology and applicable career skills.
