Spring Savings on Apple’s iPhone 16e at Sky Mobile
Tech enthusiasts are in for a treat as Sky Mobile announces an enticing spring promotion on Apple’s renowned yet more accessible line of iPhones. The price reduction reveals a remarkable £60 discount on the budget-conscious iPhone 16e.
Originally priced at £17, customers can now secure the device for just £16 monthly, provided they opt for a 36-month payment plan, resulting in an overall saving of £60. This cost translates to approximately 51 pence a day based on a typical 31-day month.
Debuting in 2025 as part of Apple’s ‘e’ series, the iPhone 16e was ingeniously designed to offer robust performance while maintaining a more economical price point.
It’s touted for delivering “powerful capabilities at a more affordable price,” boasting elite features that include the advanced A18 chip, Apple Intelligence, and a 48MP Fusion camera.
Other notable attributes encompass a 6.1″ Super Retina XDR display, exceptional battery longevity capable of supporting up to 26 hours of video playback, and 4K video recording enriched with Dolby Vision.
To avail themselves of the reduced iPhone 16e offer, customers need only a £12 upfront payment accompanied by a Sky data package.
Currently, these packages are half-off for the first three months, with options ranging from 10GB at £7 (regularly £14) to 50GB at £10 (discounted from £20). Similarly, Sky has also lowered the price of Apple’s slimmest device, the iPhone Air, to £24 (down from £27), as reported by the Express.
Prospective buyers should note that Sky’s monthly charges “may fluctuate” during the contract term. For those seeking a shorter commitment, Mobiles.co.uk offers a 24-month agreement for the iPhone 16e at £23.99 per month, requiring a £9 upfront payment.
While slightly higher than Sky’s offering, this plan features an ample 500GB data allowance at no additional cost. For those preferring to acquire their devices outright, retailers like Amazon and Argos are currently retailing the iPhone 16e for £499, a markdown from its launch price of £599.
David Snelling, Technology Editor, evaluated Apple’s iPhone 16e and expressed admiration for its “premium design.” Apple’s iPhone 16e operates on a ‘supremely powerful’ A18 processor(Image: Sky)
“Without a doubt, it’s a commendable device,” he stated. “With a sophisticated design coated in durable Ceramic Shield glass and framed in aerospace-grade aluminum.”
“The soft matte finish on the rear prevents unsightly fingerprints, enhancing its aesthetic appeal. Internally, it houses an exceptionally potent A18 processor, ensuring both speed and seamless access to Apple Intelligence.”
Further praising its features, he highlighted the effective single-lens 48MP camera, extended battery endurance, and valuable inclusions such as SOS satellite text messaging and crash detection.
However, Snelling also identified certain shortcomings, remarking: “While it’s an admirable phone, it does miss enhancements like Apple’s innovative Dynamic Island notch—a feature that adapts to exhibit information as users navigate various applications.
MagSafe charging is absent, and the Ceramic Shield glass isn’t the most recent variant found on pricier models.”
The single rear camera doesn’t reach the standard of the other iPhone 16 variants, and the Camera Control shutter button is excluded, a feature present in its more distinguished counterparts.

Nonetheless, if these additional features do not concern you, the iPhone 16e is certainly worth evaluating, especially with the current promotional offers.
