Maj. Gen. William ‘Hank’ Taylor, the commanding general of the 8th Army, conveyed during a media discussion at the annual Association of the United States Army conference in Washington, DC, his proactive use of generative AI chatbots to refine his decision-making processes, both in professional duties and personal affairs.
Taylor articulated a burgeoning rapport with this emergent technology, stating, “Chat and I have become really close lately.”
His goal is to develop AI models that will enhance the decision-making continuum affecting the thousands of soldiers within his command.
