Intelligent AI Enters U.S. Market via Connecticut InsurTech Corridor

Insurtech entity Intelligent AI has marked its foray into the U.S. market, having been selected for participation in the Connecticut InsurTech Corridor.

This strategic expansion builds upon its success in the London arena, addressing an escalating demand among insurers for enhanced data quality and improved underwriting precision.

The company highlights a longstanding challenge within the industry. Approximately 40-50% of submissions are still incomplete, resulting in underwriters dedicating over half their time to pursuing missing data rather than evaluating risk factors.

The situation is exacerbated particularly in sizable property portfolios, where inconsistencies or antiquated information can undermine pricing accuracy and risk exposure management.

Intelligent AI’s platform is designed to rectify this deficiency. It offers high-resolution COPE data—covering construction, occupancy, protection, and exposure—alongside insights into rebuilding costs.

The objective is straightforward: to furnish insurers with a cohesive and structured perspective of property risks at the underwriting stage.

The system is engineered to seamlessly integrate into insurers’ existing workflows through an API-first, cloud-based architecture. This ensures smooth support for underwriting, claims processing, and portfolio management without necessitating a transition to new systems.

The platform aspires to enhance submission quality, diminish the incidence of underinsurance, and fortify catastrophe exposure assessments.

Anthony Peake noted that this U.S. expansion is a direct consequence of their previous endeavors in London.

He emphasized that insurers addressing data quality issues promptly are poised to secure more favorable risks, thereby improving loss ratios and fortifying their portfolios. The Connecticut InsurTech Corridor provides the company with immediate access to prominent U.S. carriers.

We posit that intelligent insights are pivotal for enhanced business decision-making, consequently fostering a better world. Our aim is to enable faster, more informed decisions.

This ethos underpins the creation of the Intelligent Risk Underwriting platform, which leverages artificial intelligence to yield actionable insights.

The expansion is further complemented by Intelligent AI’s involvement in an industry event within the Corridor, uniting insurers, investors, and insurtech enterprises throughout the Hartford-New York-Boston nexus.

This region continues to serve as a vital hub for commercial property and casualty insurance deliberations in the United States.

This initiative underscores a wider transformation within the insurance landscape, as insurers increasingly prioritize data-driven underwriting amid growing portfolio complexity and the escalating challenge of managing catastrophe exposure.
