Rocketlane Secures $60 Million Investment to Enhance AI-led Services
Rocketlane, a burgeoning B2B SaaS startup headquartered in Chennai, has successfully amassed $60 million in funding from Insight Partners, a New York-based investment firm.
This substantial infusion elevates the company’s total funding to an impressive $105 million, as it intensifies its focus on AI-centric services.
Founded in 2020 by visionaries Srikrishnan Ganesan, Vignesh Girishankar, and Deepak Bala, Rocketlane specializes in professional services automation (PSA) software, equipping enterprises with the tools to adeptly manage and deliver client projects.
According to Ganesan, the firm’s CEO, revenue has more than doubled year-on-year, and the average deal size has surged by 4.5 times since 2023.
In a previous funding round earlier this year, the company raised $24 million, co-led by notable venture capital firms such as 8VC, Matrix Partners India, and Nexus Venture Partners.
Ganesan articulated that the most robust traction is emanating from software enterprises—particularly their internal implementation and professional services teams tasked with deploying products for clients.
This group notably includes AI-native companies like Glean, Vercel, Intercom, and Notion. Additionally, a significant portion of business is derived from stalwarts such as Salesforce, SAP, and NetSuite, which are prominent players in the enterprise software domain.
Before embarking on their journey with Rocketlane, the founders established Konotor, a mobile-centric customer support platform that was subsequently acquired by Freshdesk (now known as Freshworks) in 2015, and later integrated into Freshchat.
This latest funding acquisition comes at a pivotal moment when enterprises are transitioning from experimental phases of AI to substantial deployment, emphasizing tangible outcomes.
Gartner forecasts that global IT services expenditure on consulting, implementation, and integration is set to reach a staggering $1.9 trillion.
The newly acquired funds will be strategically allocated to bolster both Rocketlane’s core PSA platform and its innovative AI product, Nitro. Recently launched, Nitro is an execution platform that seamlessly integrates AI into service workflows.
“Unlike conventional PSA tools, which prioritize planning and tracking, Nitro leverages AI agents to perform critical tasks such as migration, configuration, documentation, and testing,” Ganesan explained.
Early deployments have demonstrated Nitro’s ability to diminish delivery effort by as much as 50%, while proactively identifying risks weeks in advance, empowering services teams to enhance capacity without a corresponding increase in headcount.
Ganesan further noted that the prominence of AI is revolutionizing pricing structures. While the main platform continues to adhere to a seat-based SaaS model, the AI functionalities are gravitating toward a consumption-based pricing model.
“Clients incur a fundamental platform fee and utilize credits proportional to their consumption of AI capabilities, aligning costs more closely to actual usage and outcomes,” he said.
Presently, Rocketlane boasts a clientele of over 750 global customers, including 17 entities featured on the esteemed Forbes Cloud 100 list. Its geographical footprint has recently expanded to include offices in London, New York, and San Francisco.

“Professional services teams serve as the vital engines of enterprise software, converting signed contracts into tangible business outcomes,” commented Apoorva Goyal, principal at Insight Partners.
Goyal emphasized that Rocketlane’s AI-first platform empowers these teams to amplify their impact and productivity.
