BERLIN, March 25, 2026—(BUSINESS WIRE)—Planet Labs Germany, a premier provider of daily data and insights related to Earth changes, has officially launched its search for exceptionally skilled German professionals to staff its forthcoming satellite manufacturing plant located in Berlin.
This recruitment initiative marks a pivotal point in Planet’s strategic expansion of its manufacturing presence in Europe.
Notably, Planet operates the largest fleet of commercial Earth observation satellites ever assembled. The forthcoming Berlin facility aims to double the production capability of its cutting-edge, high-resolution Pelican satellite fleet.

As recruitment efforts begin in 2026, Planet anticipates augmenting its current workforce of approximately 150 in Berlin by adding up to 70 new employees.
