OMG Group Ltd Reports Impressive Fourth-Quarter Performance

OMG Group Ltd (ASX:OMG) has released a noteworthy trading update for the fourth quarter, revealing a moving annual total (MAT) of approximately $6.2 million in net sales as of May 2026, signifying a robust 57% increase compared to the same period last year.

This achievement builds upon the $6 million MAT landmark reported at the conclusion of the March quarter and exemplifies sustained advancement across the company’s Blue Dinosaur, Oat Milk Goodness, and matcha divisions.

May 2026 emerged as one of the company’s most successful trading months to date, with net sales approximating $650,000, reflecting a remarkable 75% growth over the previous year.

Year-to-date net sales for FY26 reached around $5.7 million by May, in stark contrast to approximately $3.6 million during the same timeframe last year.

Ecommerce as a Catalyst for Growth

Ecommerce has been the fastest-expanding channel for OMG Group, with MAT net sales hitting roughly $2.4 million by May 2026, marking an extraordinary 87% rise from around $1.3 million in the prior year.

Sales for May via the online platform reached about $287,000, indicating a staggering 132% increase over the same period last year.

The company attributes this success to heightened brand recognition, increased repeat purchases, and targeted digital marketing efforts, as the online sector continues its upward trajectory.

Blue Dinosaur’s Expansion into New Zealand

OMG Group has attained a national ranging agreement for its Blue Dinosaur brand with Chemist Warehouse New Zealand, facilitated through ANZ Pharma.

This agreement grants the brand access to a new international retail avenue, enhancing existing distribution channels that include grocery, petrol, convenience, food service, and ecommerce platforms.

According to CEO Alex Aleksic, the company is entering FY27 with an expansive distribution network, growing ecommerce capabilities, and a matcha division transitioning from its launch phase to commercial operations.

Advancing the Matcha Platform into Fulfilment

The inaugural shipment of ceremonial-grade Japanese matcha under an exclusive five-year supply agreement with SANDAI Group has landed in Australia.

This shipment facilitates commercial fulfilment across various distribution and ingredient supply channels, including Food & Dairy Co and The Little Marionette.

This follows earlier airfreight consignments of ceremonial-grade matcha, which are currently being utilized by clients such as The Little Marionette and House of Matcha.

Future Endeavors

Moving forward, OMG Group plans to focus on expanding its matcha division into FY27, while simultaneously amplifying Blue Dinosaur’s retail presence and enhancing ecommerce momentum.

The company also highlighted Omura Matcha at the Café & Coffee Show in Sydney, targeting café proprietors, baristas, hospitality purchasers, and food service decision-makers to bolster brand awareness and distribution channels.
