Indore (Madhya Pradesh): The MP Tech Growth Conclave 2.0, hosted at the Brilliant Convention Centre on Thursday, emerged as a pivotal forum where seven significant Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) were inked, aimed at bolstering investment and generating employment within the domains of science and technology across the state.

These agreements are anticipated to attract investment of approximately ₹800 crore, resulting in over 10,500 new job opportunities within the region.

Notably, the Military College of Telecommunication Engineering (MCTE) of the Indian Army, located in Mhow, partnered with the state government for collaborative research and development focusing on cybersecurity and artificial intelligence.

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav heralded this MoU as a landmark achievement, marking the first instance of an MoU of this nature between the Indian Army and any state administration in India.

Furthermore, the seven MoUs pertain to burgeoning sectors such as silicon wafer production, IT park development, technological research, gaming, skill enhancement, and innovative ventures.

Esteemed institutions involved include Somveda Enterprise, DAVV Indore IT Park, ANSR, Game Developers Association of India, Indus Entrepreneurs Rajasthan, CodeYogi Foundation, and MCTE, Mhow.

According to the MoU signed with the Military College of Telecommunication Engineering, joint initiatives in cybersecurity and artificial intelligence will be undertaken to fortify collaboration between the defense sector and civilian technological advancements, thereby fostering innovation, development, and skill enhancement in state-of-the-art technologies.

Investment Agreements

In a ceremony attended by Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, substantial agreements valued at ₹85.51 crore were finalized. This includes the establishment of an AI-powered drone technology centre of excellence in partnership with IISER Bhopal, which is set to offer advanced laboratories and incubation support for startups.

Another master service agreement will be forged with L&T Edutech to facilitate skills training across the state, engaging institutions such as LNCT College, Oriental Group, Bansal College, Sage University, and IES University.

CISO Portal Launched for Cybersecurity

Dr. Yadav also introduced the CISO Portal virtually, designed to enhance cybersecurity measures across government departments.

This secure, centralized platform will allow for real-time monitoring, threat intelligence, and compliance management, promoting remarkable improvements in security, transparency, and operational efficiency within government systems.

Drone Data Repository Launched

Emphasizing the vision of ‘Digital Madhya Pradesh,’ Dr. Yadav launched the Drone Data Repository (DDR) during the conclave.

This initiative aims to facilitate drone-based data utilization in critical areas such as land management, urban planning, forest conservation, irrigation, and disaster response, setting a commendable precedent for data-driven and intelligent governance.

Draft Space Tech Policy-2025 Unveiled

The Chief Minister unveiled the draft Madhya Pradesh Space Tech Policy-2025, aligned with his vision of positioning the state as a frontrunner in technology and innovation.

This policy marks a significant milestone in integrating Madhya Pradesh into India’s space tech framework, paving the way for new opportunities in research, investment, and employment while propelling economic and scientific development to unprecedented levels.

Inauguration of 22 New Units

Dr. Yadav inaugurated 22 novel industrial, technological, and innovation-driven units, which collectively entail an investment of ₹257.46 crore, expected to create approximately 2,125 new jobs.

These cutting-edge units are slated for establishment primarily within the IT parks of Indore, Bhopal, Jabalpur, and Gwalior, comprising global capability centers, startup incubation hubs, drone manufacturing ventures, and other high-tech enterprises.

Bhumi Pujan for 4 Major Projects

Additionally, Dr. Yadav virtually performed the bhoomi pujan for four major projects during the conclave, which are projected to inject an investment of ₹1,346.75 crore, generating around 21,150 new jobs.

These initiatives pertain to significant IT parks, drone technology, and the Electronics System Design and Manufacturing (ESDM) sector across Indore, Bhopal, Jabalpur, and Gwalior.

Among these projects, LTI Industries will establish a state-of-the-art IT consulting center over 10 acres at the Super Corridor, costing ₹810 crore and creating 10,000 jobs.

DNR Corporation is set to develop a cutting-edge IT park at the Super Corridor, with an investment of ₹524 crore anticipated to create 11,000 positions.
