Mindbody has forged a strategic alliance with Attentive, an AI-driven marketing platform, to empower fitness, wellness, and beauty brands in executing personalized outreach through SMS and email channels.
This collaboration will integrate advanced marketing tools directly into the Mindbody platform, enabling users to oversee all communications from a unified dashboard.
A significant enhancement will allow business operators to automate tailored messaging, sending timely SMS and email campaigns triggered by specific client behaviors, such as visit frequency, lead stages, or periods of inactivity.
“This year, our clients in fitness and wellness have indicated that SMS and email are their two most potent channels for member engagement; however, many struggle to utilize them effectively due to constraints in time and resources,” remarked Fritz Lanman, CEO of Playlist, the parent brand of Mindbody.
“In our evaluation of potential partners, Attentive distinguished itself with its capabilities, facilitating connections for businesses of all sizes and yielding measurable growth within a matter of minutes,” Lanman continued.
“By integrating Attentive’s technology into the Mindbody ecosystem, we’re equipping operators with an intelligent marketing framework akin to that used by leading global brands.”
In a previous conversation with Athletech News, Lanman expressed the importance of the fitness sector embracing AI, advocating for a comprehensive shift toward technological innovation within the industry.

This collaboration will also enable Mindbody users to convert online audiences into paying customers through integrated web and social media sign-up utilities and targeted follow-up communications.
Attentive will further assist users in harnessing insights for enhanced marketing, utilizing Mindbody’s tools like “Clients at Risk” and “Big Spenders” to reactivate lapsed clients or reward loyal patrons.
“Consumers increasingly seek authentic, personalized interactions with brands they trust, particularly in the wellness domain,” stated Attentive CEO Amit Jhawar.
“By merging Attentive’s omnichannel platform with Mindbody, operators can transform each interaction into a timely, individualized communication across both SMS and email.”
The features will be available at no extra cost for Ultimate and Ultimate+ subscribers, with Mindbody noting that early adopters are already witnessing significant outcomes.
For instance, The Tox, a multi-location wellness brand, experienced a remarkable 60% increase in first-time visits attributed to the integration.
Small businesses in the beta phase reported thousands in additional monthly revenue and an average opt-in conversion rate of 46% in October 2025, propelled by consistent, automated campaigns, according to the partnered companies.

“Together, we are providing Mindbody customers with an intuitive marketing platform that effectively engages clients, strengthens relationships, and encourages repeat visits,” added Jhawar.
This initiative marks another stride for Mindbody in the realm of AI, having introduced three new AI-enhanced features earlier this year to automate client management and elevate retention rates.
