Linx Printing Technologies to Unveil New Continuous Ink Jet Printers at Interpack 2023

Linx Printing Technologies is poised to launch an innovative line of continuous ink jet printers during the Interpack trade fair in Düsseldorf, Germany. This new product lineup will take center stage at the company’s stand in Hall 8B.

The showcased printers will be part of a broader exhibit that includes existing coding and marking machinery, such as thermal transfer printers, laser coders, and large character systems.

Among the products featured is a new large character printer, slated for release later this year. This device is designed for imprinting text, logos, and graphics on porous substances like cardboard, paper, and wood—essential for manufacturing, packaging, and logistics operations.

Linx will also present three machines from its laser coding segment. The Linx UVG5 is engineered for application on mono-recyclable films and rigid plastics, allowing for seamless integration into production lines.

Designed specifically for high-speed production environments, the Linx CSL30 targets the marking of materials such as glass and rubber used in sectors including food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and electronics.

Its CO₂ laser marking head features advanced focus adjustment technology, which permits the laser to remain stationary for products of varying heights or widths.

This innovation minimizes line changeover times and mitigates the likelihood of errors during frequent product transitions.

Linx’s FSL20 fibre laser coder is tailored for small parts or products that require extensive information in confined spaces.

The clarity of the codes produced meets traceability standards in critical sectors such as pharmaceuticals, medical devices, automotive, and electronics.

The trade fair will also highlight three models of thermal transfer printers, optimized for printing on flexible materials like bags, pouches, labels, and flow wrap.

These systems utilize a variety of ribbons to cater to distinct applications and line demands, featuring bi-directional stepper motors to enhance printing output per ribbon.

Additional user-friendly features include a color touchscreen and a cassette system that streamlines setup, operation, and changeovers.

Mark Cooper, Linx’s Senior Director of Product and Marketing, remarked, “Interpack presents a global platform for the packaging industry, making it an ideal venue for us to showcase what we consider a transformative advancement in coding and marking for busy production managers.”

In a complementary development, Linx Printing Technologies recently introduced two inks tailored for coding on flexible plastic packaging: the Linx Black Strong Plastic-Film Ink 1015 and 3415. These inks aim to enhance code adhesion and readability across various plastic film packaging formats.
