PITTSYLVANIA CO., Va.
Governor Glenn Youngkin announced on Wednesday that MerryGoRound Inc., a prominent fulfillment enterprise, will commence operations in Pittsylvania County.
As per the Governor’s office announcement, the company is set to invest $10,003,600 in this venture. MerryGoRound will occupy a substantial 400,000-square-foot facility to bolster its burgeoning live commerce sector, generating 203 new employment opportunities.
“MerryGoRound’s commitment to establishing operations in Pittsylvania County underscores Virginia’s strategic positioning and adept labor force, rendering it an optimal center for e-commerce and logistics,” stated Governor Youngkin.
“This forward-thinking enterprise will engender over 200 new jobs in the expanding digital retail domain, offering exhilarating prospects in technology and creative services for Southern Virginia. We are honored to welcome MerryGoRound into the Commonwealth.”

The Virginia Economic Development Partnership collaborated with Pittsylvania County and the Southern Virginia Regional Alliance to secure this project for the state. Moreover, Governor Youngkin authorized a $350,000 grant from the Commonwealth’s Opportunity Fund to assist Pittsylvania County with the initiative.
Additionally, the Virginia Tobacco Region Revitalization Commission sanctioned a $145,500 grant from the Tobacco Region Opportunity Fund aimed at supporting this project.
