DJI Unveils the Osmo Nano Action Camera
DJI has introduced the Osmo Nano, a remarkably compact action camera engineered for versatile mounting options.
This innovative device features a two-part architecture, comprising a diminutive main camera body and a detachable Multifunctional Vision Dock that accommodates the display and other critical electronics. Weighing a mere 52g, the main camera is complemented by a 72g dock. While the camera boasts a waterproof rating of up to 10 meters, the dock is limited to an IPX4 rating, rendering it unsuitable for underwater use.
Equipped with a state-of-the-art 1/1.3″-type CMOS sensor, the Osmo Nano captures images at a resolution of 6880×5160 and achieves an impressive 13.5 stops of dynamic range. The camera offers a wide field of view at 143°, with a minimum focus distance of 35cm. In standard mode, it records 4K video at up to 60fps and can achieve 120fps in slow-motion.
Videos can be created in 10-bit format and D-Log M, enhancing post-production color grading flexibility. Additionally, users can benefit from DJI’s advanced RockSteady 3.0 and HorizonBalancing electronic stabilization features. For photography enthusiasts, the camera supports images up to 35MP in resolution.
The main body incorporates built-in storage and a battery. Users can choose between 64GB or 128GB of internal capacity, with the dock allowing microSD expansion up to 1TB. The camera is powered by a 520mAh battery, while the dock contains a larger 1300mAh battery.
Under optimal conditions, the camera can record up to 90 minutes of 1080p video at 24fps, extending to 200 minutes when docked with the display turned off. Charging is facilitated solely through the dock, reaching 80% capacity in approximately 20 minutes.
The Multifunctional Vision Dock features a 1.96-inch OLED touchscreen with a resolution of 314×556 and a peak brightness of 800 nits. This display functions not only for monitoring when the camera is mounted, but can also be utilized wirelessly when separated from the camera module.
To enhance usability, the compact Osmo Nano comes with an array of accessories that facilitate mounting in varied scenarios. Users can acquire a Magnetic Hat Clip for attaching it to a cap, a Magnetic Lanyard for hanging the camera around the neck or clothing, a Magnetic Headband for headwear, and a Magnetic Chest Strap for torso use.

Other options include a Dual-Direction Magnetic Ball-Joint Adapter Mount for affixing the camera to vehicle interiors or exteriors, a Foldable Adapter Mount for compatibility with most existing action camera accessories, and a Protective Case. DJI also supplies an ND Filter Set and a Nano Glass Lens Cover.
The pricing for the Osmo Nano starts at €279 for the 64GB variant, which includes the camera, the Osmo Nano Multifunctional Vision Dock, a Magnetic Hat Clip, a Magnetic Lanyard, a Protective Case, a USB-C to USB-C PD Cable (USB 3.1), and a Dual-Direction Magnetic Ball-Joint Adapter Mount. The 128GB version is available for €309 with analogous accessories. Notably, the camera will not launch in the United States.
