CMF Launches Budget-Friendly Headphone Pro
The budget-conscious sub-brand, CMF, set to evolve into a distinct subsidiary of Nothing, has unveiled its inaugural over-ear wireless headphones, the CMF Headphone Pro. This innovative device is scheduled to hit the U.S. market on October 7, 2025, and boasts a unique physical EQ slider.
With design aesthetics centered around soft, rounded earcups and plush cushions, the Headphone Pro stands in contrast to the angular contours of the parent company’s Nothing Headphone 1, which was introduced in July.
This model opts for tactile buttons, simplifying user interaction by eliminating touch-sensitive panels. On one side, a round power and Bluetooth button is accompanied by a customizable action button on the opposite side; the latter can be tailored via the Nothing X app.
Furthermore, the headphones integrate a multi-function roller control—a feature adapted from the Headphone 1—facilitating smooth volume adjustments, media playback management, and ambient sound control.
A noteworthy aspect of the Headphone Pro is the Energy Slider. This physical control allows users to swiftly fine-tune the treble and bass levels without navigating through the Nothing X app. Priced at an accessible $99, the CMF Headphone Pro is a compelling alternative to the $299 Nothing Headphone.
Initial color variants include dark gray, light green, and light gray. Users seeking further customization can enhance their experience with $25 replacement ear cushions available in vibrant orange or light green, adding a striking contrast to the main design.
Integral to the CMF Headphone Pro’s functionality is its adaptive active noise cancellation (ANC) technology, which intuitively adjusts sound dampening based on the surrounding noise levels.
Powered by a robust 720 mAh battery, a full charge promises an impressive 100 hours of playback. However, when the ANC feature is switched on, this duration is reduced to 50 hours.
Notably, this 50-hour capability exceeds that of the Nothing Headphone 1 by 15 hours and outlasts the Sony WH-1000XM6, which offers a maximum of 40 hours solo or 30 hours with ANC in operation.
For users in a rush, a mere five-minute charge can provide up to four hours of audio enjoyment. Additionally, the Headphone Pro can be conveniently recharged by connecting directly to many smartphone models via a USB-C cable.
These headphones are already available in the EU and UK, leading up to the anticipated United States release.
