Revealed via a press release, the Republic of Gamers (ROG) branch of ASUS has introduced a 20-inch carry-on suitcase, featuring a front compartment meticulously designed to accommodate a 16-inch laptop along with an array of gaming accessories.
Complementing the laptop-friendly compartment, the Archer Suitcase 20 boasts a robust polycarbonate hard-shell design and TSA-compliant locks.
Additionally, it is outfitted with Hinomoto Miraclent 360-degree Silent Wheels, favored by frequent travelers.
During the recent Gamescom conference in Germany, the Taiwan-based company—backed by diverse public-market investors—made this announcement.
While ASUS has refrained from disclosing the price or exact launch date for the suitcase, the company emphasized its utility not just for gamers but also for professionals and creatives alike.
The designated laptop compartment could prove particularly advantageous, considering TSA regulations concerning electronics, which may require travelers to power on devices to verify their identities.

For instance, Acer, a fellow laptop manufacturer, offers the Predator Street-Style Carry-On priced at $350, which features a comparable laptop compartment and a similar 20-inch design.
For those outside the gaming and technology milieu, there’s also the Getaway 20-inch Carry-on: Front-Opening bag from Bagsmart, priced at $180, which also includes a similar compartment. BGR has yet to review these bags or offer specific endorsements.
