Apple Announces Special Experience Event for March 2026
On Presidents’ Day, Apple Inc. unveiled an upcoming “Special Experience” set to transpire in New York City, London, and Shanghai on March 4, 2026, at 9 am ET.
Media representatives have received invitations, marking the company’s second media outreach this year. Notably, this also represents the second consecutive occasion that Apple has referred to an event as an “experience.”
Amidst rampant speculation regarding the imminent release of new iPhones, Macs, and potentially iPads, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has hinted at the possibility of product unveilings just before the event, including a hands-on session for journalists on the day itself. Thus far, there’s been no announcement regarding live streaming for the general public.
In the weeks leading up to this event, more details about Apple’s plans may emerge. Gurman alluded in his recent Power On newsletter to the probable launch of new Macs, iPads, and the iPhone 17e being on the horizon.
Reflecting on the previous Apple experience in February, the firm introduced the Creator Studio bundle and hosted an event featuring influencers. Although the company also unveiled the second-generation AirTag that same week, it did not address that launch during the Creator Studio experience in California.
The iPhone 17e: Anticipated to Steal the Spotlight
The iPhone 16e was unveiled last February, and if Apple maintains a similar timeline, the first week of March could see the debut of the iPhone 17e, showcasing several new features.
While this may not entice those who recently purchased the iPhone 16e, users of older models, such as the iPhone SE 3, may find it appealing. Rumors indicate that the iPhone 17e might feature a Dynamic Island instead of the familiar notch seen in the iPhone 14.
Despite expectations of a 60Hz OLED display, this new iteration is rumored to contain a robust A19 chip, enhanced GPU cores with updated Neural Accelerators, and, crucially, MagSafe capabilities.
This addition could significantly enhance wireless charging speeds and open the door to a plethora of MagSafe-compatible accessories. Historically, the current generation has lacked MagSafe compatibility, a gap that may soon be rectified.
Furthermore, there may be modest enhancements to its single 48MP Wide Angle camera alongside the 12MP selfie camera. Although concrete information about these camera upgrades remains scarce, speculation abounds regarding potential advancements.
Anticipated New Macs and iPads on the Horizon
Apple is presently rife with rumors concerning new product launches, raising uncertainty about whether all will make their debut in the next few weeks.
According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple is gearing up to debut the M5 Pro and M5 Max MacBook Pro models, along with an iPhone chip-equipped MacBook, a base-model iPad, and potentially a new iPad Air.

While the abundance of new devices is promising, none appear groundbreaking enough to warrant a standalone event. The anticipated M5 Pro and M5 Max chips may yield relatively incremental enhancements compared to their predecessors.
Meanwhile, the new base iPad is set to feature a more powerful chip along with Apple Intelligence integration, while the forthcoming iPad Air is rumored to adopt the M4 processor.
Owing to the absence of drastic design modifications, Apple may opt for a different approach in rolling out these devices.
At present, it remains ambiguous whether these new offerings will coincide with the Special Experience events, although the flurry of rumors suggests that some product unveilings are likely before the culmination of March.
