Adobe Collaborates with Seven Indian States to Enhance Educational Access for Millions
American software giant Adobe has revealed a significant partnership with seven state governments aimed at granting complimentary access to its Adobe Express software for approximately 7.8 million students and educators enrolled in government schools. This initiative marks a substantial augmentation of Adobe’s K-12 presence in India.
The company formalized this endeavor through memorandums of understanding (MoUs) with the states of Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Tamil Nadu, Bihar, Assam, and Goa, thus providing numerous government institutions with free access to Adobe Express for Education.
This digital media application is meticulously crafted to engage students via projects that enhance their learning outcomes while fostering the acquisition of skills suited for the future.
Moreover, this collaboration will afford both students and educators a chance to engage with a curriculum focused on digital creativity and AI skill development under the auspices of Adobe Digital Academy.
The goal is to cultivate abilities in creative problem-solving, digital storytelling, and AI-assisted content generation.
In addition to providing valuable resources, educators will receive training on how to effectively integrate digital creativity into their teaching methodologies.
Concurrently, students will employ Adobe Express for various school projects and methods of creative expression, thereby honing skills vital for future career paths in India’s burgeoning creative and digital sectors, as articulated in a company statement.
“This partnership underscores Adobe’s enduring commitment to transforming education in India and aligns with the government’s National Education Policy.
This policy champions the integration of digital tools and AI as a means to cultivate skills essential for readiness in the future,” remarked Mala Sharma, Global Vice President and General Manager of Education at Adobe.
She further noted its support for the Union Budget 2026 initiative, which aspires to generate two million jobs in the Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, and Comics (AVGC) sectors by the year 2030.
This initiative will encompass flagship institutions under PM SHRI, model schools led by state governments (CM SHRI), Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas (KGBV), Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS), and other government school networks, with aspirations to extend its reach to additional schools and states in the future.
Further solidifying its dedication to education, Adobe has also aligned with NASSCOM FutureSkills Prime, a digital skilling initiative in cooperation with the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY).
This partnership aims to provide free access to industry-relevant courses and certification opportunities for learners across India.
