Acer Unveils Predator Helios 10 Neo Gaming Laptop
Acer has discreetly added a new variant to its esteemed Predator Helios 10 Neo series, now equipped with Intel’s Core Ultra 7 255HX processor and Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 5070 laptop GPU.
While the new configuration incorporates a more modest CPU compared to its predecessor, it retains the same display and cooling system features.
This latest addition to the Predator Helios range follows a refresh earlier this year at CES 2026, where the company unveiled models powered by Intel’s Panther Lake architecture.
With the GeForce RTX 5070 laptop GPU remaining unchanged, one can expect gaming performance to remain consistent across many titles. However, the most pronounced differences are anticipated in demanding CPU-centric tasks.
The Predator Helios 10 Neo comes equipped with 16 GB of DDR5-6400 memory alongside a sizable 1 TB PCIe 4.0 SSD. Users seeking additional capacity have the option to enhance the system through two SO-DIMM memory slots and two M.2 SSD slots.
Intel’s Core Ultra 7 255HX delivers a robust performance with its 20 CPU cores, peak clock speeds reaching 5.2 GHz, and a substantial 36 MB of cache.
Although it falls short compared to the Core Ultra 9 in processing-intensive applications, it offers commendable capabilities for most users.
Display and Cooling Features
The laptop features a striking 16-inch display, boasting a resolution of 2,560 × 1,600, a refresh rate of 240 Hz, and an impressive 3 ms response time.
It achieves 100% DCI-P3 color gamut coverage, and the display supports Nvidia G-SYNC, DC dimming, and a 16:10 aspect ratio, providing a cinematic experience.
In terms of thermal management, the device is outfitted with dual fans, five heat pipes, liquid metal thermal material, and four exhaust vents, ensuring optimal cooling during extended gaming sessions.
Additionally, Acer includes PredatorSense software, facilitating users to toggle between integrated, hybrid, and dedicated graphics modes via a built-in MUX switch.
Keyboard and Connectivity
The keyboard impresses with four-zone RGB lighting, 2 mm key travel, and generously sized arrow keys. Accompanying features include Killer Wi-Fi 6E, DTS:X Ultra audio, AI noise reduction, and the latest Windows 11 operating system.
Connectivity options are extensive, featuring Thunderbolt 4, HDMI 2.1, USB Type-C, three USB 3.2 Type-A ports, 2.5 GbE Ethernet, a microSD card reader, a 3.5 mm audio jack, and a dedicated charging port—all designed to enhance the user experience.
Pricing and Availability
Currently, the Predator Helios 10 Neo is available exclusively in China, priced at 16,999 yuan, approximately equivalent to US$2,500. Acer has yet to provide details regarding international pricing or availability.
