CMF has unveiled its inaugural over-ear headphones in the Indian market, signalling a new venture into the audio product sphere.
The company, previously focused solely on true wireless earbuds, aims to cater to consumers seeking over-ear headphones equipped with noise cancellation, extended battery life, and app-based controls.
The newly introduced CMF Headphone Pro is priced below Rs. 8,000 and emphasises battery longevity, physical controls, and robust software integration.
CMF Headphone Pro: Pricing and Availability in India
The CMF Headphone Pro is retailing at Rs. 6,999. Once the introductory offer concludes, the price will rise to Rs. 7,999.
Consumers can choose from three appealing colour variants: Dark Grey, Light Grey, and Light Green. CMF intends to distribute the headphones through various online platforms and partnered retail outlets throughout India.
CMF Headphone Pro: Features and Specifications
The headphones are equipped with 40mm custom drivers featuring nickel-plated diaphragms and a copper voice coil measuring 16.5mm. Note that they utilise a dual-chamber structure to optimise sound delivery.
Furthermore, they support the LDAC codec and Hi-Res audio, facilitating higher data-rate audio streaming from compatible Android devices.
To achieve effective noise control, the headphones employ hybrid adaptive active noise cancellation technology, which the manufacturer asserts can diminish external noise by as much as 40dB.
Users are granted access to Spatial Audio settings, including options like Cinema and Concert.
CMF oversees all software functionalities through the Nothing X app, available on both Android and iOS platforms.
This application enables users to manipulate equaliser settings, adjust noise cancellation levels, update firmware, and perform sound tuning through an Audiodo-based hearing test.
The Headphone Pro claims a staggering playback time of up to 100 hours with noise cancellation deactivated.
However, when noise cancellation is operational, battery life is reduced to approximately 50 hours at 50 per cent volume while using the AAC codec.
The fast charging feature offers up to four hours of sound playback following a mere five-minute charge.

Moreover, the headphones boast replaceable ear cushions that can be effortlessly twisted off. The physical controls comprise an Energy Slider that toggles sound focus between bass and treble, a roller for volume and playback management, as well as a customizable action button for functions like activating Spatial Audio or quick command access.
