Google India has commenced the direct sale of replacement parts for its Pixel Buds 2a and Pixel Buds Pro 2 via its online store. Previously, users were required to fill out a self-service form on the Google Support page to procure the necessary parts.
This new development allows users to effortlessly purchase individual earbuds and eartips directly from the Google Store. This service is not only live in India but also in the United States and select international markets, thus providing existing users an expedited method to replace lost or damaged components.
Pricing, Availability Details
In India, owners of the Pixel Buds 2a can acquire a single replacement earbud for Rs 6,499, available in the Iris and Hazel color variants. Additionally, Google provides Pixel Buds 2a Replacement Eartips priced at Rs 1,900, which come in a Hazel finish and are available in four distinct sizes: extra small, small, medium, and large.
The purchase process is as follows:
- Step 1: Navigate to the Google Store India.
- Step 2: Select the Accessories tab, then choose Pixel Buds 2a from the list on the left.
- Step 3: Opt for either Earbud or Eartip.
- Step 4: Specify preferences such as color, size, and quantity. At press time, the replacement earbud was out of stock. Google notes that ‘Replacements are not available at all times and in all areas.’
Concurrently, in the U.S., Google also offers a replacement case for the Pixel Buds 2a for $55 (approximately Rs. 4,837), a service not currently extended to Indian customers.
Additionally, U.S. owners of the Pixel Buds Pro 2 can purchase individual replacement earbuds priced at $70 (around Rs 6,200), available in various colors, including Porcelain, Hazel, Wintergreen, Peony, and Moonstone.
The replacement charging case for Buds Pro 2 is available for $95 (roughly Rs. 8,400), with eartips listed at $20 (approximately Rs. 1,760).
There is no official word yet regarding the availability of Pixel Buds Pro 2 replacement parts in India. Google indicates that color options and stock levels may differ by region.
