A South Carolina woman, identified as Nykia Hamilton, has reportedly lost her job at Burger King following the emergence of videos depicting her single-handedly managing a store in Columbia. Hamilton, a mother of three, was seen operating the restaurant in its entirety by herself.

In a TikTok video, Hamilton revealed the circumstances surrounding her termination, citing that her tardiness stemmed from responsibilities related to her children.

In response to her situation, Hamilton initiated a GoFundMe campaign, asserting, “I am a 25-year-old single mom of three, juggling two jobs. I just went viral on TikTok. If you would like to contribute, that’s appreciated.”

Statement from Burger King

This is not in line with our practices, and we are dismayed that our policy, requiring multiple staff members per shift, was not adhered to. Termination decisions are made by the franchisees who manage the respective location. In this case, the franchisee confirmed that the individual involved is no longer employed due to recurrent attendance issues.”

The spokesperson added,
