Workday to Acquire AI-Driven Candidate Experience Platform Paradox
Workday, an expert in human resources software, has formalized an agreement to acquire Paradox, a platform specializing in candidate experiences through conversational artificial intelligence.
Paradox’s innovative solution harnesses AI technology to streamline the entire job application process, particularly beneficial for industries that experience high demand for frontline workers.
Following the acquisition, Workday has indicated that its enhanced talent acquisition suite will enable clients to more effectively identify, recruit, and onboard personnel across various categories, including both frontline and corporate roles, as well as full-time and contingent employees.
Details regarding the financial aspects of the transaction have remained undisclosed. The acquisition is anticipated to finalize in the third quarter of Workday’s fiscal year 2026, concluding on October 31, 2025, contingent on typical closing conditions and regulatory approvals.
Gerrit Kazmaier, Workday’s President of Product and Technology, articulated that this acquisition aims to modernize the recruitment landscape by ameliorating the inadequacies of outdated methodologies and disparate tools.
“Integrating Paradox’s conversational AI within Workday will present organizations with a more intelligent, swift, and engaging avenue to connect with prospective candidates,” he elaborated.
“Together, we aspire to evolve our customers’ recruitment from transactional interactions to transformative hiring practices that expedite talent acquisition while enhancing the experience for all stakeholders involved.”
Enhancements in Candidate Experience
Paradox’s platform is meticulously engineered to generate candidate experience efficiencies on a broad scale, ensuring that each applicant enjoys a bespoke, high-touch interaction facilitated by AI.
Candidates benefit from instant responses, the ability to self-schedule interviews, and round-the-clock support throughout their recruitment journey, allowing organizations to rapidly fulfill personnel needs in high-volume roles.
As reported by Paradox, the platform has successfully managed over 189 million AI-enhanced candidate interactions, achieving candidate conversion rates exceeding 70% and reducing time-to-hire to a mere three-and-a-half days.
Unified Talent Acquisition Strategy
Through the integration of Paradox, Workday is set to develop a cohesive, intelligent talent acquisition suite that unifies AI-driven talent discovery and matching via HiredScore, Paradox’s conversational facilitation, and optimized hiring processes with Workday Recruiting.
Adam Godson, CEO of Paradox, shared his optimism regarding the enhanced capabilities the acquisition will afford the company, enabling it to leverage Workday’s broader resources and global influence.
“From our inception, we have aimed to enable recruiting and hiring teams to focus more on personal connections and less on navigating software,” he stated.
“Workday’s extensive reach and comprehensive platform present an ideal landscape for us to accelerate our mission, extending our proven conversational AI solutions to a larger audience while assisting more organizations in refining their hiring processes.”
