CyberCX Joins Accenture in Strategic Acquisition

Founded in Melbourne, Australia, in 2019, CyberCX has swiftly ascended to become a critical player in the cybersecurity landscape of the Asia Pacific region. With a formidable workforce comprising approximately 1,400 adept professionals, the firm offers an extensive suite of end-to-end services encompassing consulting, transformation, and managed security.

Their capabilities span offensive security, cyber-physical security, crisis management, threat intelligence, managed detection and response, alongside strategic advisory, identity management, cloud, and network security.

CyberCX operates a sophisticated network of security operations centers throughout Australia and New Zealand, supplemented by additional offices in London and New York. This global footprint enables them to merge profound local insights with broader international expertise.

Moreover, CyberCX is at the forefront of innovation with its AI-driven platforms, which facilitate cybersecurity services such as detection and response, sovereign secure cloud solutions, and the CyberCX Academy for training. They also deploy proprietary tools for security testing and cyber intelligence.

This strategic acquisition aligns with the findings of Accenture’s recent State of Cybersecurity Resilience 2025 report, indicating that a staggering 97% of Australian organizations are inadequately prepared for an AI-driven landscape. Alarmingly, 80% lack essential data and AI cybersecurity practices necessary for safeguarding their models, data pipelines, and cloud infrastructure.

“CyberCX and Accenture are united by the mission of leveraging cybersecurity to empower our clients to navigate change safely, spur business reimagination, and fortify resilience against ever-evolving threats,” stated Paolo Dal Cin, global lead of Accenture Cybersecurity.

“By amalgamating Accenture’s advanced AI capabilities with CyberCX’s market dominance, innovative solutions, and trusted relationships with C-suite executives and government entities, we will enable clients across the Asia Pacific to turn cybersecurity into a pivotal competitive advantage.”

CyberCX has cultivated robust partnerships within a prominent ecosystem, collaborating with major cybersecurity entities such as Microsoft, Palo Alto Networks, and CrowdStrike. This collaborative success has garnered multiple accolades, affirming their status as one of the region’s leading managed service and system integrators, supported by over 2,600 industry certifications.

“As digital environments become more interconnected and operational value chains face heightened threats, client demand for cybersecurity services is intensifying. The rising imperative for responsible governance coincides with advancements in AI and Quantum technologies,” remarked Peter Burns, who oversees Accenture’s operations in Australia and New Zealand.

“With CyberCX’s diverse capabilities, prominent government ties, and exceptional regional talent, paired with Accenture’s expansive scale and innovation, we are poised to fulfill this increasing demand.”

John Paitaridis, CEO of CyberCX, expressed pride in the firm’s accomplishments: “We are deeply committed to building a top-tier cybersecurity service provider in the region. Aligning with Accenture’s global cybersecurity framework enables our talented professionals to synergize with worldwide capabilities, thereby delivering premier cybersecurity services to a broader clientele across the Asia Pacific.

Together, we share a mission to empower clients against emerging threats and to cultivate resilience, creating a force multiplier effect.”

The acquisition of CyberCX marks yet another significant venture by Accenture to enhance its cybersecurity apparatus and solutions portfolio. Since 2015, Accenture has completed 20 acquisitions in the security domain, with the latest additions including Morphus, MNEMO Mexico, and Innotec Security.

Details regarding the transaction have not been disclosed, and completion is subject to standard closing conditions, including regulatory approvals.
