Apple Set to Announce Fourth Quarter Earnings
Apple Inc. (AAPL) is poised to unveil its fourth-quarter earnings today after market closure, a moment that will be crucial for investors keen to glean insights into the initial sales performance of the iPhone 18 Pro.
The iPhone Duo became available for preorder on October 16 and officially launched on October 23, a timeline that conveniently falls outside of Apple’s fiscal Q4. Nevertheless, the company might still provide relevant updates concerning demand specifics.
This earnings announcement marks a significant occasion as it will be the debut call with John Ternus at the helm as CEO, who succeeded Tim Cook on September 1.
Analysts from Bloomberg have projected that Apple will report an earnings per share (EPS) of $2 alongside a revenue forecast of $113.46 billion for the quarter.
This reflects a notable increase compared to the EPS of $1.85 and revenue of $102.46 billion recorded during the equivalent period last year.

Projected sales for the iPhone line are anticipated to reach $56.48 billion, indicating a 15% year-on-year improvement.
The services division, Apple’s second-largest revenue stream, is expected to surpass $31.58 billion, while Mac products are forecasted to achieve sales of $9.69 billion.
The Wearables segment and iPad sales are also expected to generate approximately $8.99 billion and $6.83 billion, respectively.
This year, Apple has emerged as a relative stronghold in the technology arena. Its shares have soared by approximately 30% over the past year, outperforming competitors like Amazon (AMZN), Google (GOOG, GOOGL), and Nvidia (NVDA), which have all increased by single digits. Microsoft’s stock remains flat, while shares of Meta (META) have plummeted roughly 15%.
In the recent month, turmoil has gripped the market. Google, Meta, and Nvidia faced significant declines, with both Google and Meta experiencing setbacks following their earnings reports.
Nvidia’s struggles are partially attributed to concerns surrounding the AI sector. In the same timeframe, Amazon has also seen a slight downturn, leaving only Apple and Microsoft in positive territory.
Before the market opened on Monday, Apple shares dipped by 0.4%.
Apple has managed to insulate itself from the fluctuations affecting the AI market. It avoids hefty expenditures on data centers and does not depend on chip sales as a primary income source.
This insulated strategy has been advantageous for its stock performance. Just earlier this month, Apple’s market capitalization surpassed the $5 trillion mark for the second time, a milestone only achieved by Nvidia as well.
Additionally, Apple is capitalizing on a series of new product launches. Beyond the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone Duo, the company has introduced a fresh line of AirPods, Apple Watches, Macs, iPads, and more.

Recently, it unveiled an updated iPad mini, an enhanced iMac, and sophisticated MacBook Pro models, including one featuring a touchscreen interface.
Earlier this month, it also launched its inaugural smart home hub, dubbed the Apple HomeView.
