Samsung Electronics Poised to Unveil Galaxy S27 Pro Model
Reports indicate that Samsung Electronics is set to broaden its flagship smartphone assortment with the introduction of the Galaxy S27 Pro model.
This strategic move aims to allure more consumers toward premium offerings while bolstering profitability amid escalating component expenses, as articulated by The Korea Herald.
Anticipated to commence this month, Samsung Display will manufacture cutting-edge organic light-emitting diode (OLED) panels equipped with integrated privacy technology specifically for this forthcoming device.
According to insights from UBI Research, an esteemed display industry analyst, Samsung Display could produce approximately 700,000 panels in November, in preparation for the projected launch of the Galaxy S27 series in the early months of next year.
This new Pro variant will augment Samsung’s flagship lineup, which will now encompass four models: standard, Plus, Pro, and Ultra.
Reports reveal that both the Pro and Ultra editions will incorporate Samsung’s latest M16 OLED materials alongside the much-coveted privacy display technology.
Conversely, the standard and Plus models are expected to be outfitted with the older M14 materials, omitting this innovative feature.
The privacy display technology, a first to debut with the Galaxy S26 Ultra, is designed to limit screen visibility from lateral angles without necessitating an additional privacy screen protector.
Notably, users will have the option to activate this feature selectively for particular applications and notifications.
The integration of this technology within the Pro model could provide consumers access to Samsung’s advanced display features without the financial burden of purchasing the higher-priced Ultra variant.
This proposed expansion arrives at a time when Samsung is increasingly pressured to enhance the profitability of its smartphone segment.
The combined operational loss in the Mobile eXperience and Networks divisions reached 600 billion won (approximately USD 447 million) in the third quarter, driven partly by rising component costs.
In its latest earnings report, the company identified the enhancement of its flagship product mix—by providing differentiated experiences across diverse customer segments—as a pivotal objective for 2027.
Speculation regarding pricing strategies suggests that the Galaxy S27 Pro may have a starting price of USD 1,399, roughly USD 100 less than the proposed USD 1,499 for the Ultra variant.
Estimates further indicate that the standard and Plus models may be priced at USD 999 and USD 1,199, respectively, as per The Korea Herald’s analysis.
Samsung has already implemented price increases across its Galaxy S26 lineup amidst rising memory costs, with further adjustments expected for the S27 series.

Nonetheless, the company has yet to officially confirm the specifications, production schedule, or pricing details related to the Galaxy S27 Pro, according to the report.
