Logitech Introduces dollar 99 MX Keypad Accessory
- Launch of the MX Keypad
- Offers nine customizable keys for AI tools and commands
- User-generated integration capabilities
Logitech has rolled out a new accessory priced at $99, designed to expedite the workflows of programmers and coders.
The MX Keypad features nine fully customizable LCD keys, available in vibrant colors, enabling users to launch commands, execute macros, and access various AI tools with unprecedented ease.
This compact device, roughly equivalent in width to a Logitech mouse and weighing merely 96 grams, ensures it occupies minimal space alongside a user’s keyboard, thereby preserving precious desk real estate.
Enhanced Accessibility and Efficiency
The MX Keypad, developed in collaboration with GitHub and available in two aesthetic variations, functions as a centralized control hub.
Its aim is to minimize the constant need to toggle between applications, although its versatile customization can also extend to non-coding programs.
Each of the nine programmable keys can be tailored to manage one or multiple applications and agents, facilitating everything from executing intricate prompt macros to initiating routine commands. Notably, it boasts native integrations with GitHub, VS Code, and Copilot at launch.
Utilizing the Logi Actions SDK, developers are empowered to create and disseminate their own integrations.
Already, community-built plugins for tools such as Claude Code and OpenAI Codex are accessible, along with developer-tested plugins for GitHub Copilot.
The MX Keypad connects via USB-C and requires macOS 13 or later, or Windows 10 and above. In line with Logitech’s commitment to sustainability, the device incorporates certified post-consumer recycled plastic—64% in the graphite model and 49% in the pale gray version.
“In today’s digital landscape, coding proficiency hinges on the ability of developers to seamlessly navigate an expanding array of AI tools,” remarked Anatoliy Polyanker, VP and GM at Logitech.
“The MX Keypad serves as a tactile control center at your fingertips, enabling you to orchestrate your AI workflows with enhanced speed and intuitiveness.”

In essence, the MX Keypad represents a more streamlined alternative to Logitech’s existing MX Creative Console, which features an LCD keypad alongside a dedicated dial pad for adjusting settings within favored creative applications, albeit at a steeper price of $199.99.
