Upcoming Apple Devices Expected for September Announcement
Next month, Apple is poised to unveil a host of innovative devices, projected to include at least five new products centered around the anticipated iPhone event. Among the potential announcements are devices linked to Siri AI, notably a revamped Apple TV.
The iPhone 18 Pro
The iPhone 18 Pro is anticipated to retain the aesthetic of its predecessor, the iPhone 17 Pro, albeit with a more diminutive Dynamic Island.
Key internal enhancements are in the offing, including an advanced Wide camera featuring an adjustable aperture for superior control over lighting, alongside a powerful A20 Pro chip fabricated using a cutting-edge 2nm process.
Battery efficiency might receive a boost from this new chip, coupled with an upgraded LTPO+ OLED display.
Furthermore, Apple may incorporate a more proficient C2 modem and an N2 networking chip. This year, the special color is rumored to be Dark Cherry, complemented by a fresh light blue variant.
The iPhone 18 Pro Max
The iPhone 18 Pro Max will boast an identical feature set to the iPhone 18 Pro, but with enhancements including a larger battery and an expanded screen size.
Various reports suggest that this model will be incrementally thicker than both the iPhone 17 Pro Max and its 18 Pro counterpart, attributed to an augmentation in battery size compared to last year’s offerings.
Both the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max are likely to see price increases, potentially by as much as $300 when compared to their iPhone 17 predecessors.
While Apple has previously elevated prices for Macs and iPads, a final decision regarding iPhone price adjustments appears to be linked to the impending September refresh.
An Innovative Foldable iPhone
Apple’s maiden venture into foldable smartphones, the so-called “iPhone Ultra,” is on the verge of launch.
It is speculated to feature a compact ~5.5-inch display when folded, expanding to a ~7.8-inch format when opened, maintaining a 4:3 aspect ratio akin to that of an iPad.
The design reportedly employs a hinge mechanism that minimizes the visibility of creasing, and it will also be powered by the same 2nm A20 chip present in the 18 Pro models.
Expectations suggest dual batteries positioned on either side of the device, though the camera system may be limited to a dual-lens setup due to the device’s slim profile.
Consequently, it is rumored to utilize Touch ID in lieu of Face ID as the TrueDepth camera system would not fit within the design constraints. The anticipated price range for the foldable iPhone is between $2,000 and $2,500.
Reports hint at some challenges in foldable iPhone production, raising speculation that its launch may follow that of the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max.
Apple could still announce the device in September, pairing the announcement with a subsequent release, reminiscent of the iPhone X launch sequence in 2017.
Apple Watch Series 12
This year will see an update for the Apple Watch, although it is not expected to feature significant design modifications.
Anticipated enhancements include a faster S-series chip and improved health and fitness functionalities. Moreover, it may offer a larger battery to extend operational life.
Apple Watch Ultra 4
The Apple Watch Ultra 4 is also on the horizon, receiving the same chip upgrades as the Series 12. Speculation exists around a second event, potentially scheduled for October or November. The portfolio of home products is extensive, particularly with the anticipated launch of a new home hub, making a dedicated smart home event a plausible scenario.

Products Not Making Their Debut
The standard iPhone 18 will not make an appearance in September 2026, as the upcoming lineup will instead focus on premium offerings.
The iPhone 18, iPhone 18e, and iPhone Air 2 are slated for release in spring 2027. Additionally, Apple does not intend to refresh the Apple Watch SE this year.
A Shift in Leadership
Tim Cook will transition from his position as CEO on September 1, assuming the role of executive chairman, while John Ternus is set to assume leadership responsibilities.
Ternus is expected to spearhead the September iPhone event, with the likelihood of Cook being absent from the presentation.
Anticipated Event Timing
Based on historical patterns, Apple’s iPhone event is most likely to occur on Tuesday, September 8 or Wednesday, September 9. Given that September 7 is Labor Day, Apple may be reluctant to inconvenience media members with travel on a holiday.
According to Australia’s Channel News, the event is scheduled for September 8, though the accuracy of this report remains under scrutiny.
If the event is indeed set for September 8 or 9, pre-orders are traditionally expected to commence on Friday, September 11.
However, given that date marks the 25th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, Apple may opt to steer clear of that day for pre-orders.
Instead, it is conceivable that we could see pre-orders begin on Saturday, September 12, a decision reminiscent of Apple’s approach during the iPhone 6s pre-order date that coincided with 9/11 in 2015.
