Asus Unveils New Vivobook Pro 16 (2026) Featuring AMD Ryzen AI 9 H 465 Processor

Asus has launched a new variant of its Vivobook Pro 16 (2026), now powered by the AMD Ryzen AI 9 H 465 processor.

This latest iteration, while visually akin to its Intel Ultra 9 predecessor, offers a modified internal configuration, featuring less memory and storage, all the while retaining the impressive 16-inch 165 Hz OLED display.

In comparison to its earlier version, available for purchase on Amazon, which boasted 32 GB of RAM and a 1 TB SSD, this refined model allows for 16 GB of RAM and a 512 GB PCIe 4.0 SSD.

For users seeking enhanced storage options in the future, the laptop includes two M.2 2280 slots for potential upgrades.

The display remains unchanged, featuring a 16-inch OLED panel with a resolution of 2,560 × 1,600, a refresh rate of 165 Hz, peak brightness capability of up to 1,100 nits, and full 100% DCI-P3 color coverage.

Design and Cooling System

At its core, the Vivobook Pro 16 (2026) houses the AMD Ryzen AI 9 H 465 processor. Complementing this performance is an efficient cooling system, which encompasses a 75 mm fan, copper cooling fins, and a D10 heat pipe.

Aside from the adjustments to memory and storage, the device preserves much of its predecessor’s engineering: an 80 Wh battery, 100 W USB Type-C charging capability, and a weighty yet mobile chassis of 1.65 kg (3.64 lbs).

Features such as the expansive 7.1-inch touchpad, an IR camera with Windows Hello support, dual microphones for superior audio quality, a versatile 180-degree hinge, and a backlit keyboard are retained.

Connectivity and Availability

In terms of connectivity, this laptop is equipped with a USB4 port, a USB Type-C port, two USB Type-A ports, and an HDMI 2.1 connector.

Notably, the Ryzen model substitutes Thunderbolt 4 with USB4; both interfaces are capable of supporting data transfer rates of up to 40 Gbps.

The new Vivobook Pro 16 configuration is set to hit the market in China under the designation Fearless Pro 16 on August 11, priced at CNY 7,699 (approximately US$1,140). Presently, Asus has not revealed plans for availability in other international markets.
