Among the pilfered files are details regarding the A20 Pro chip and the bespoke C2 modem, alongside design blueprints and camera system intricacies.
These documents began appearing on the dark web as early as June 10. In a concerted effort to mitigate the fallout, Apple has hastily sought the removal of leaked video clips showcasing the device in impact tests.
According to AppleInsider, cybercriminals accessed at least six files containing specifications for numerous iPhone 18 Pro components.
This includes intricate details regarding chips embedded on the main circuit board, as well as specifications for battery and camera elements.
The disseminated drop-test videos were initially posted by an account utilizing the @EvLeaks handle and subsequently shared by leaker Ice Universe. The footage appears to depict a silver-gray iPhone 18 Pro adorned with a more cohesive rear design than its current dual-tone variant.
The videos further illustrate a three-camera rear setup with noticeably enhanced lens prominence compared to the existing model.
Posts on X (formerly Twitter) were eradicated for infringing platform regulations, and Apple’s rapid response underscores its determination to contain the breach with greater urgency than seen in past incidents.
The leaked motherboard images and technical specifications confirm several pivotal advancements poised for the Pro line.
The A20 Pro chip will utilize TSMC’s inaugural 2-nanometer manufacturing process, an upgrade from the 3-nanometer architecture employed in the current generation.
Additionally, it will incorporate a novel Wafer-Level Multi-Chip Module (WMCM) packaging design. Preliminary internal data from Apple suggests that the A20 Pro could achieve performance improvements of up to 15 percent, coupled with a remarkable 30 percent enhancement in power efficiency compared to its predecessor.
