Extension Name: RS-Flashion | From: xristina

Subject: I’m using this module on my Joomla localhost project, but it is showing the “In order to view this object you need Flash Player 9+ support!”

xristina: I saw the post with the same problem but you’ve told him to look at http://www.rswebsols.com/forum/rs-flashion/displaying-of-the-slideshow which is a page not found. I’m also sure I’ve put the correct image folder which is “images/stories/slideshow/”. Can i know how do i fixed this?
Thank you in advance!!

Support Team: Thanks for your email. This is a most common issue and it comes if you miss-configure the module. Can you please send us the screenshot of your module parameter section? This will help us to find out the solution quickly.

xristina: Thank you for your reply, I’m a newbie.. but I found your module extremely useful… Thank you in advance!!

###—4 ATTACHMENTS HIDDEN—###

xristina: I forgot to tell you that when I had the site locally in my pc the module worked perfectly. And the problem began when the site was online..in the internet. I hope that you understand what I want to say…:) Thanks once more!

Support Team: OK, In that case can you please provide us the URL of your website where the error is coming?

xristina: Yes of course, the url is ###—URL HIDDEN—### Thank you!

Support Team: Yes, your problem is in your folder permission. Just do the following:

  1. Login to your server’s root directory using FTP.
  2. Then go to “modules/mod_rsflashion/”.
  3. Here you can find one folder called “xml”. Chmod this folder to “755″.
  4. Then go to “modules/mod_rsflashion/xml/”.
  5. Here you can find one/some files like rsflashion_XXX.xml, here XXX can be any number. Just delete these kind of files.
  6. Then reload your website.

xristina: Thank you a lot for your help!! Is working!! Have a nice day!

We are using RSmonials component(scroller) for joomla 1.5.x. the oldest (year 2012) testimonial displays first. How do we get the latest (current year) testimonials to display first? one testimonial displayed at a time on screen refresh.

    • Souvik Says:

You can use our “RSMonials module”. In the module parameter you can set the “Testimonial IDs” that you wish to display. Also choose “display Type” as “Serially”.

Edit your server’s php.ini file (server configuration file) and set “display_errors” to “Off”. Then test your website and let us know the status.

Where can i find which path to use? Do i need to upload my photos in media manager first? Can i find the correct path there?

    Reply

    • Souvik Says:

Yes, you can use Media Manager. Using Media Manager just create one new folder and then upload slideshow images on that folder.

Say you created one new folder “slideshow_images” under the “images” folder. Then your image folder path will be “images/slideshow_images/”.

And say you uploaded one image called “slide1.jpg”. Then the image path will be “images/slideshow_images/slide1.jpg”.

Please do anyone of the following:

          1) If along with the “Warning” message the module is displaying images correctly, then just edit your server’s PHP configuration file (i.e. php.ini) and set “display_errors” to “Off”.

          2) If the “Warning” is coming and also the module is not working, then please contact our support team along with your website URL. You can contact from this page: http://www.rswebsols.com/support
